I didn't show it here in the video but they brush on great too. I'll post pics of the brushed on results in my community page soon.

    I started using ProAcryl about 3 months ago, and i have to say they have quickly become one of my favorite brands, i use them with scale 75. Their coverage is amazing and imo better than GW base paints. Bronze, pyrolle red and their titanium white are go to paints, still need to get coal black. Keep up the good reviews!

      Welcome to the obsessor of tools and supplies club. I think my obsession is because of my age. Meaning I've been into hobby building since the late 70s and back then we had a knife, tube glue and 1 brand of paint. So as the years pass I saw more and more companies creating tools that make building much easier and better than I could even have dreamed of back then. Models haven't truly changed that much but the supplies have definitely advanced for the better. Have a great day and thanks for watching

    I've really been enjoying these, though so far mostly for brush painting miniatures. The Black Green has become a go-to shadow color for anything greenish for me.

    Another great review! Naming a color transparent without it actually being transparent is confusing. To me, a transparent color is used mostly on clear plastics and glass to tint them.

    • @educationRnR1
      @educationRnR1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The transparent paints are for either painting like a citadel contrast paint or for airbrushing over existing colours to provide more transition between colours. Having used them a lot they are excellent 👍

  • @von2320
    @von2320 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have found darker colors need more thinner/flow improver. The black/brown mix is hella thick… it won’t come out of my 3mm needle if I try to do a small spray unless I do like 6 drops of 30/70 flow improved to thinner to 1 drop
    Of paint.
    Otherwise great paint!

  • @stevewagstaff7250
    @stevewagstaff7250 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I use these and Kimera Kolors for the bulk of my painting. I find the Kimeras are the best paints out there and these are a great second that compliment really well!
    The transparents are designed more for miniature painters doing zenithal undercoats. They work so well on transitions from white through grey to black.

    With the compressor making so much noise, have you considered using a compressed carbon dioxide cylinder fitted with a two-stage regulator? My CO2 tank is similar to those used for beer kegs and is easy and cheap to refill. I go to a local welding supply store for refilling it. A charged tank lasts a long time (months to years). The gas is dry and very quiet.

    I don't understand how Monument made these paints.
    They have more paint per pot than Citadel.
    They are better paints than Citadel, mostly. Largely I think they're amongst the best paints for miniature painting although the yellow ochre is terrible.
    They come with a mixing ball in every bottle.
    They are sealed and they have the foam gasket.
    They come with what I assume is an expensive to make lid/cap. Even though I don't think that standard cap is great as it creates a lot of waste because I clean clean bottle lids.
    I thought of another positive to Monument Pro Acryl earlier but I can't remember what it was.
    All made in the West, like Citadel (U.S.A. vs U.K.) but it costs the same to buy as Citadel paint and is arguably better than Citadel.
    Everytime I think about the price vs quality I shake my head, Monument Hobbies had the opportunity to rake in the cash but they chose not to and even though they know their product is very popular, they haven't increased unit R.R.P. like a lot of companies would. Just based on that I believe Monument would make better Stewards of the Warhammer I.P.s than Games Workshop!
