Nice , anchoring can be one of the toughest things to learn especially when your on steep gradient rivers running fast . Here on the Madison a 40lb anchor works best for my Clackacraft Eddy . Thanks for sharing.
This old matelot from Limey Land reckons that's not an anchor, but a WW2 sea mine his grandfather brought home from sweeping the Sea of Japan! Regards to all on the water.

What about dark water rivers? That you can't see the bottom?
