Hi Bill, I am a new sub and I like the way you teach. I am a beginner and I am looking forward to learn from you as much as I can. Your chrome work is great.

Nice video Bill thanks for making and posting it. It explains a lot that I don't know about painting chrome objects or shiny objects

maybe ill get the inkling to take my time and do a real nice chrome affect again. I suppose I could do logos and such if that helps. Really just trying to show the concepts in this one... which of course ive done with rounded surfaces a few times. and I suppose i need to do one from black... I have run out of things to paint on.. so shopping is needed. Im looking at some skate decks and other interesting items soon.

Hi as a newbie to airbrushing can anyone tell me what is behind the fascination with skulls everyone seems to have on TH-cam airbrush channels? Just asking..

Well, it's long been popular. It's definitely not something I personally paint a lot of.
It's been extremely popular in the motorcycle world. Where it is believed to have been a look at our own mortality. Of course it's been a popular art subject long before then.
As for artists a healthy understanding of anatomy can be a useful thing. But for certain skulls are overplayed... And yet not going anywhere. You paint what the people want
