Monochrome is better than wide angle. I've owned both the LG G6 w/ wide angle and the Honor 8 with monochrome lens and I can definitely tell you the RGB + Monochrome mix is the best way of having 2 cameras on a single smartphone.

Just like you, I previously owned the LG G6, and now I own the Huawei P20 Pro. I do miss the wide angle, but I would say that I use the monochrome a lot more than I do the wide angle. Plus, I own a clip-on lens if I wanted a wider angle
Omg yes, if they swapped the monochrome camera with a wide-angle one, I would immediatley buy this phone. I have the LG V20 and I adore the wide-angle camera. It just catches so much more scenery and also with the front camera, when you take selfies, your bacground can be awesome
