    Labour Party, particularly Miliband energy policy is daft, following a long recent history of daftness. Solar and wind power have no place as the predominant supply technology in UK. There simply isn’t room and they have such a short shelf life to huge cost and infrastructure outlay. Small modular nuclear is the only way forward and we lead this technology anyway. EV cars have little future and hydrogen the way forward and we also lead on this technology only the tech was passed on to BMW by the German CEO of Jaguar Land Rover.

    • @PeterPete

      Green energy, zero carbon, net zero all creates jobs for people.

    • @HighFell
      @HighFell 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No such thing as Green, Zero
      Emission or Renewable Energy.
      Comment on JLR having world leading Hydrogen tech is nonsense. The innovation is in Japan to make passenger vehicle Hydrogen work although there a lot of major stumbling blocks to overcome and these are mainly scientific, so going to be pretty hard to work around.

    • @FLodge100
      @FLodge100 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      oh really .. you know so much. I once sat next to a lady professor advising JLR on hydrogen engine technology. In 40 minutes she convinced me that hydrogen was the way forward and that JLR had an advanced option. That was in 2017. Yet since then JLR opted for EV foolishly and all of a sudden BMW came up with the same hydrogen technology. The CEO of JLR at the time was a former MD of BMW.

    • @HighFell
      @HighFell 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @ meanwhile while JLR had a chat about it, Toyota worked out how to carry pressurised Hydrogen safely in passenger cars. I was there when the integrity tests were done. Toyota also developed the refilling systems and gave them to the world patent free. Remember this was in 2010, Honda and Toyota already had Hydrogen cars on sale in 2015. Both have invested heavily in the technology and Hyundai/Kia has joined on development but there are still key issues to be overcome, preventing the fuel cell membranes from icing up in cold weather etc plus the issue of Hydrogen embrittlement and dissipation. That before we tackle how to isolate Hydrogen cleanly. There are some interesting things happening with microbial Hydrogen production but it’s not proving scalable, yet.
      Are you sure CEO of LandRover gave tech to BMW, as BMW sold Land Rover to Ford in 2000, BMW never owned Jaguar, it was part of Ford Premier Auto Group since 1999. Ford sold jaguar and Land Rover in 2008 forming JLR as a subsidiary of Tata.
      When you make stuff up, at least have the sense to check your dates.
      If you are accusing Sir Ralf Speth of passing sensitive documents and IP belonging to JLR and ultimately Tata, I wonder why he is still a senior executive with Tata Group.
