- Today I'm taking y'all to work with me. Hopefully, this gives y'all a first-hand experience of what an average day in the life of a Public Affairs Specialist in the U.S. Air Force is like. Keep in mind, I can't record 24/7 at work (I got a job to do), but I tried my best to give y'all a behind-the-scenes video of our job.
Public Affairs has given me plenty of opportunities that I will forever be grateful for. From flying in a PJ, to shooting rounds with Security Forces using an M940. If you're a creative person and don't like doing the same thing every single day, I would definitely recommend this job.
If you like this video, please leave a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel.

I enjoy watching your videos and the content you put out as I’m interested in Public Affairs, They’re very informative however i wish they can be more longer.
Thank you, I truly appreciate it! I’m working on getting more content + making them longer too! 🙌

@@bakerbeginnerfood public affairs is the only career field in the Air Force that does photography
@@bakerbeginnerfoodPublic affairs is literally the only mos I want. I’m willing to switch to navy just for public affairs. For the airforce I would probably have to deny a lot of other jobs and wait months right or up to a year right ? It seems cyber and maintenance is the only thing available for airforce right now.
運転席が右だから違和感感じてたら三沢基地の方なんですね!
何だか親近感湧きます
I was at Misawa 96-99, my last base before I retired. I was in aircraft maintenance.
It’s a great base to be!

I am very interested in this career field.
Im currently waiting on my medical to go through before I can move forward.
Your videos have been a wealth of info for me :D
What are some of the typical bases a 3N0X6 can be stationed at??
When you said you were at Misawa my mouth just dropped lol
Thats the base I've been dreaming of being stationed at
Our career can pretty much go to any base! I’m glad my videos have helped you!
I am a civilian with a bachelors degree and scored very high on the practice asvab. I really want this job! PA. Any tips on getting this specifically other than qualifying? Recruiters are saying I can’t really just wait for this to become available. And I don’t want to join and get stuck with a job I hate for 3 years.
You definitely can wait for a job opening but you can’t be in the DEP process for over a year.
I had a communication major and I believe that’s what ultimately got me selected for the job. Other than qualifying, unfortunately there’s nothing much you can do other than be patient.
I'm 5 credit hours away from getting my Associates degree of General Studies. I have 3 years of Management experience, another 3 in Certified Training and 2 more in Public Relations. Do you think my practical experience working with the public would help me more than having a a bachelors degree would? Thanks in advance! Gained a sub.
Based on your associates degree you’ll come in as an E-3 if you choose to enlist. I will say none of your experience on the outside will matter to the Air Force once you get in (as far as promotions go). They only want to see what you’ve done for the military and your unit. That being said, it may help you excel on a personal level. For example, I’ve had a lot of experience on the outside with media coming in… once I got to my unit I was steps ahead of most of my peers.
Would you say that public affairs can go to any base or specific ones only ?
There’s jobs at every base pretty much
Are you at misawa
HAs USAF PA chose Nikon Z series mirrorless cameras as your standard cameras Air Force-wide?
Pretty much…

When did the Air Force allow airmen not to shave?
Shaving waivers every branch usually does them but it's a process
"Public Affairs Specialist"... lol you meant to say propagandist.
