- I modified the 2023 LEGO Star Wars Coruscant Guard Gunship Set 75354 with Commander Fox, Shock Troopers, Padme, and Palpatine.
I came up with 7 ways to fix your LEGO set and make changes based on what I think the gunship should have looked like.

4x Cylinder Hemisphere 4 x 4 Trans-Brown (Old Trans Black)
2x Bar 2L with Stop Ring (Dark Bluish Gray)
2x Plate, Round 4 x 4 with 2 x 2 Round Open Center (Light Bluish Gray)

4x Dish 3 x 3 Inverted (Radar) (Light Bluish Gray)

Wow the bubble turrets look 100% better than the shooters. I hate that they choose to go that route. What an improvement this is!!

Its the dealbreaker for me in this set. I can forgive a couple of wrong prints in the fox fig and the grey visor as well as the doors but lego ignoring the most iconic part of the ship to include a couple of dumb shooter for kids IN A 140$ SET, is absolutely outrageous. I really hope this flops

The scale is better, closer to reality, lots of people hate that it’s smaller but I think it’s closer to what it actually is, price isn’t pretty though
I love videos like this because instead of whining about every small detail just use what lego provides to fix the problem

Holly crap with the bubble turrets changed it looks so much better I know it has other problems but when I get it I’ll display it with the doors shut so I don’t see that as as much of a problem since objective when the doors are open they look worse then if there were two but when they’re closed there’s no gap in between

The Gunship beam turrets have been my favorite ever since I played the 2002 Star Wars Clone Wars game. Definitely need to do a similar mod when I get mine.
I'm surprised Lego didn't add them since to me that seems like a better place to put the stud shooters.
I subbed just for that bubble turret design. Shit looks clean AF.
Unpopular opinion: I think that dark grey visor and kama are actually accurate for Fox. When you compare it's colors with black overall under his armor, it's supposed to be lighter color.

As someone who never plans on selling my minifigs, I’m considering taping off the sections on Fox’s Torso that are ok, around the portion that’s white but shouldn’t be, and taking a very tiny amount of acetone on toothpicks and rubbing the white off inside the print lines to expose the red underneath. If I ruin it, oh well, then I’ll shell out to buy a pad printed torso
Looks like a very difficult job with that shading underneath the chest plate
Don’t forget the knee pads, they’re supposed to be red as well

i agree with you saying it’s the right size looking a photos form the clone warsand attack of the clone it is basically to scale but because past gunships have been bigger everyone seems to think that this new one have been shrunk

'' The easiest '' way too fix the holes is to swap the helmet with the old one, like the old doesn't go for 100$+ on eBay😂😂
I'm pretty sure he meant to buy individual helmets for about $5 off of bricklink
Here is a tip I found. If Lego doesn’t make a helmet for a character without holes I would suggest GCC because they look like legos

I would disagree about the Padme figure. In all her other variants have used something better resembling her face, like with the dimple for example. In this case they clearly just took an existing face and slapped it on their. I actually am less annoyed with fox than I am Padme.
At least the Jyn Erso head still fits Padmé pretty well, and if you have the old 2013 head you can easily swap it around. But Fox is unfixable unless you order custom prints or modify the print yourself, they messed up both his torso and his kneepads
solid bubble turrets! Will be adding them to the OG set and the color swap set.
Thank you tons, I really love this set, could get over the door problem as on display with the doors closed it does not matter, but the stud shooters really do look terrible. Now I can get it and fix it (BTW, white domestic are more accurate for the courascant gunship)
This is cool, i wish I was good at building with lego to come up with mods like these
If Fox’s legs were dual molded with black on top and white on bottom, so that the kama would go all the way around, I wouldn’t mind the printed kama.

The 2008 and 2013 versions are to big to properly display or use in a MOC

I just want to remind everyone in the comment section that this set was originally made for kids. The UCS Republic Gunship was made to satisfy AFOLs. So please, stop hating on this set and use the magnificent mods in this video to make it how you want it.
Hating on the set is OK, the problem is when people just cry about how stud shooters are so ugly when when they are absolutely fine desighn wise,

out of all these I don't understand the missiles as it actually makes it less accurate, their placement on the 2013 and 2008 gunship is to make it playable while having them fire from approximately the right place
I don't quite understand the reason as to why a lot of custom lego builders like to remove the shooting pieces from their mocks.

If you want to fix Commander Fox use the Falcon torso from the mini figure pack with black widow and 2 aim agents
gray is the accurate color of the visor, not black though lol

I’m doing dual door mod similar to ewok pilots and stretching the ship 2 studs in the Center section

With the minifigs, it would have been great to have Padme with dual molded legs as she's always wearing those knee-high ish boots! Otherwise, couldn't agree more!
Also WOW, that reversal stud technique to hold the 4x4 round plate in place! That's ingenious.

And swap out her her from the Jyn Erso head to the actual Padmé head from 2013 and it’s perfect
I’d say Padme could’ve had dual molded legs since her boots are a different color from her pants
Also, Ewok Pilot made a mod for the doors that works better !
You forgot fuel molded legs could work for padme brown boots
LEGO did invert field molded legs for fox from marvel falcon
The padme figure could use dual moulded tan and dark brown legs to give the boots she wears in this outfit
The easiest mod for the wing turrets: replace the grey 4x4 plates under them with the 4x4 turntable base. Now you can rotate the turrets! I don't know why TLG didn't do this. It doesn't even increase the "unique part count" for the set.
I mean, it is a really good modification for sure. But I can't look away from those bubble turrets on the wings, they kinda look like a pill to me😅
My mod to the gunship will be not buying it, and building the brick vault one instead

I love the coruscant guard troopers but I have a problem with fox so I will get a clone army customs version or maybe grandpa clone customs

Am I the only one who thinks gray is the right color for Fox’s visor? That’s clearly gray on every Fox figure and in Clone Wars.
The Padmé in this set reuses the Jyn Erso face instead of bringing back the fantastic Padmé face from the 2013 gunship, so I would swap the head out with the older one as it’s actually meant to be Padmé.
Fox also has inaccurate knee pads, as his kneepads are supposed to be red but on the minifigure they’re white. Yet another inaccuracy with his figure :(
