1.Install the battery and SD card in the camera
2. Format the SD card
3. Turn on the camera and check the version through the menu
4. Use the USB cable provided by the camera to connect the computer and the camera
5. Copy the version upgrade file to the SD card
6. Unplug the USB cable and turn off the camera
7. Press and hold the menu key all the time, turn on the machine, still press the menu key, the camera will be upgraded
8. After the upgrade is successful, check whether the version is updated successfully through the menu
9. Follow the activation steps to activate the camera SIM card

This year on separate occasions I purchased through Amazon two GardePro E8 trail cameras. The AA camera works very well 24/7. However The solar power camera will simply stop taking photos for several hours a day. Then might start taking photos again the next day and repeat the same cycle.
