OMG ! Professor Juice!!! I knew your voice familiar but gosh darn didn't expect you to be here! Hope you're doing well with the rest of the Yakuza games.
Zero is the prequel game and was like £3.99 on the store the other day if you want to dip your toes in cheaply. Kiwami 1 and 2 are also excellent, as is 6.
What you could've also done was grinded to max ranks on ALL JOBS with ALL CHARACTERS. The stat boost bonuses associated with each job apply to all other jobs. Your party could've had higher HP and MP pools, plus higher magic that translates to greater damage, and also having at least one fire, electric, and ice attack for each male character no matter the job so as to effectively exploit enemy weaknesses, and also one blade attack regardless of job. Even if that meant taking it longer to ultimately getting the platinum, it could've still made the difference. Because that's how I unlocked that trophy. And with that, I'm very happy you accomplished the same. :D
I got the platinum two days ago it felt great doing the tower especially after fighting your way up too the top. My advice to others if any you don't have to grind every single job class to a high level to do the tower some people made it seem like you have too max out every job class I'm just saying you don't unless you just want too. Also get the sacrifice stones these REALLY came in clutch for me in certain parts of the tower especially fighting amon and others when i was good as dead at times. Just wanna say this game is great I surprisingly enjoyed it way more than I thought I would considering the turn based style
I love this game to bits, probably more so than Yakuza 0, but I just don’t have it in me to grind monotonously for hours/days to reach max level on multiple jobs, just 1 is a massive chore. Some day I will get round to it, level up little by little and eventually this will be my 1st platinum ever
I spent about 30 hrs in the dungeon alone, maxing out all the characters to specific jobs. It took me about 4 attempts to get through final Millennium tower, and I do not regret doing any of it. I'm so excited for the next game!
@@prime_1577 If I recall, I kept Joon Gi Hun as Host, Eri as matriarch, Saeko as Idol, Ichiban as Hero, i would mainly use these 4. I would also switch between Adachi (enforcer), and Nanba (Musician). I didn't really use Zhao as much (mainly as revive fodder).
Happy to have completed it, I increased my success by farming permanent stats boost for my 4 members of choice after doing the job grind for their respective boosts. It easily added a lot of playtime but boy was I relieved when I finished.
Watching this video triggered my PTSD! It's absurd how everything I did matches your experience perfectly: grinding way too much in the dungeon, almost losing my mind, finishing past 1 am, whisper-cheering and even it being my 30th platinum. Congratulations for the platinum trophy Rosie, I hope SEGA will go a little easier on our mental sanity in the next game hahaha.
Ok y'all, to cut down on that grind time, here's what I did. STACK UP ON SMOKE BOMBS Use the bombs to escape all the unnecessary fights, ones without the vagrant, to get to the fights with the vagrant. When I say stack up, go to the secret store in the bottom left of Ijincho, buy ten since that's the cap you can hold, then go to your container in the hobo camp and deposit them there! Continuously do this, going back and forth, until you have a good/great amount. Once you have the desired amount, hit the Kamurucho dungeon. Before you enter the second floor, where the vagrants are located, there is a checkpoint with a healing station, save point, and container. Grab 10 of those smoke bombies to do as I mentioned before. Once you clear the vagrant battles, return to that checkpoint, heal up, save, and grab some more smokie bombs from your item box/container. Rinse and repeat this til you hit the desired levels you want, or run out of bombs. THIS SAVES SO MUCH TIME. Oh, and make sure to stick job xp items on your characters, so they can get 2x xp per battle. You can find a list with all their locations through a simple google search. Hope this helps!
Honestly that come play wrecked my first time around and made me grind at the battle arena but that fight is easy compared to the millennium tower. The tower is just punishing at every fight.
I platinum this game ~230hr, though I played NG+ on Legend while levelling up so I won't get bored... My last trophy was from the final dragon kart race. Pretty sure I had to attempt that 20 times, gave up, and then try it again another 20 times... Yea I'm bad with racing games 😒
Great new segment. And yes Rosie, you did platinum this game like a dragon - I'm imagining little flames erupting from your mouth as you whisper-screamed 😂 But I agree with Ed, I do miss the old Friday intros... Can you guys just do a video of all the times Rob has said we've caught him doing something?
Had the exact same experience as you. Getting destroyed on my first attempt when I was level and job 99. Went through that miserable grind through the sewers, played a ton of minigames to either stay sane or earn crafting materials. I had to get an idea of how long it would take to take jobs from 1-99 with the exp items so I could plan my days around when I could play the game. I got to the final boss and felt prepared with the courage pendants. Only to realise that I wasn’t prepared for the expanded moveset and the 3 extra bosses that appear. Still felt that I was prepared since the hard part of the fight was that the normal enemies were harder than the bosses themselves. I beat the final boss on my 2nd attempt and I felt like running down the streets of London naked with how happy I was.
Congrats on the platinum I just got it myself a few weeks ago! I Had 3 jobs to level 99 for the final millennium tower along with a few other jobs to level 18-24 for certain elemental attacks and got the platinum in about 93 hours. The last boss was brutal Mr. Masochist ended up being a lifesaver to survive the Amon aoe attacks. All I can say is if your now thinking of going to play the rest of the Yakuza games and to platinum them all like I was planning, don't do it. I'm working on Yakuza 0 right now and the grind is intense (although I'm loving the game) and even though I've sunk a ton of time into it I might decide to just play through the games without platinuming them - Yakuza 0 looks like it'll take well over 200 hours alone and supposedly it's one of the easier older yakuza games to platinum.
Yeah some of the trophies in the older ones are a straight up “nope” lol. I’m playing judgment right now and considering a platinum but we’ll see how much RNG is at play
I have a few Yakuza platinums and yeah, they are all massive time investments. The Fist of the North Star spin off is probably the least grindy platinum and even that takes a long time.
Oh Rosie, I am currently going the same journey you did right now. There has been a lot of tears, colourful language and a replaced controller already. I feel your pain! I will PLATINUM THIS GAME!!!!
I utterly love this game and that final dungeon is frigging brutal. Took me hours and hours of preparation, if it wasn't for the fact I was and am totally in love with this game, then I don't think I'd have gotten the achievement.
Same lol. Didn't help me that the game was bugged at the time I was trying to do the dungeon and the game just refused to spawn it. Had to wait for a fix and sit there with 1 trophy missing for like a week. Though when I finally got the trophy it was one of the most relieving experiences I've had in gaming for a while
I’ve only just got the platinum for this as I waited for the ps5 version, got the platinum at 2.30am this morning after a very stressful shift at work haha, although I dint max out all the jobs the dungeon definitely became a big friend of mine too, although it was a bit of a grind, i never actually got bored of the game as it was just amazing from start to finish, I was actually a little sad when I did the true last final boss as I’ve had some a blast with this game, it’s my first Yakuza game and I’m now going to go back and play the rest of them! But yeah love this video Rosie, could relate to so many things! Well done on getting your platinum, you definitely earned it!!! :)
After 148 hours, most of my jobs are all over 30. The active jobs for all my party members are level 99. With the right strategy this was a breeze. Im gonna make a tutorial video on the boss fight. This game was such a blast time to go for 100% of part time hero and completion. 🤙
It wasn't frustrating at all because I focused on leveling up jobs in the Kamurocho dungeon, over and over again for a good couple hours and you'll eventually have most characters with all specific job abilities and be set to be attempt your first time at the true final millennium dungeon
Maaan my soul was crushed just hearing that you lost to the boss QuQ Thank goodness for the retry! Well done Rosie. Dont think I could ever do this one. Really loved the vid. Cant wait to see more 'That one...'
I know your pain. I get platinum in this game just few days ago. I must say, this is my first JRPG experience but i really like Yakuza series, so i was kinda in a "enemy territory". But still this game is awesome, one of the best in Yakuza series. So, congratulations!
Peerless resolve would save you multiple times. After the grinding for my main jobs and a couple extra levels on other jobs for the skills, I beat it first try. I do relate with the "thinking the requirement was exaggerated and getting one shot on first fight" tho
My trophy woes come from The Surge. The first time I played through it to get the trophy for the good ending the game crashed during the end cutscenes so the trophy didn't pop but it still started new game plus mode. Second time, I got the bad ending trophy without an issue. The third playthrough, the same thing happened again. It crashed during the ending and no platinum trophy. It's the only trophy left and I love the game, but that's just torture.
This is the one trophy keeping me from ever getting the platinum 😭😭😭 I don't have the mental strength nor the skill you have, Rosie! Nobody deserves that plat more than you do! Well done 👏
I just got the platinum for this game yesterday. The true final millennium tower is absolutely nuts! Lol, the grinding alone.. hell of a game though (and yes I spent plenty of time in that dungeon fighting the invested vagabonds, I ran away from the other fights to cut time off since the exp I got from them was basically nothing compared to the them)
I've got it on my list, I'll play it someday for sure...but after watching just how much grinding needs to be done, the only platinum I'll be seeing of this is through this video. Congratulations Rosie, you're my heroine for pulling this off.

It’s been a few years but do u remember the jobs you kept for the party
@@prime_1577 If I recall, I kept Joon Gi Hun as Host, Eri as matriarch, Saeko as Idol, Ichiban as Hero, i would mainly use these 4. I would also switch between Adachi (enforcer), and Nanba (Musician). I didn't really use Zhao as much (mainly as revive fodder).
Love the new segment! Thanks for sharing!
Happy to have completed it, I increased my success by farming permanent stats boost for my 4 members of choice after doing the job grind for their respective boosts. It easily added a lot of playtime but boy was I relieved when I finished.
thats what i am doing now. i am farming boosters. its so helpful in battle
Absolutely loved that
Watching this video triggered my PTSD!
STACK UP ON SMOKE BOMBS
Use the bombs to escape all the unnecessary fights, ones without the vagrant, to get to the fights with the vagrant.
Amon is the youngest looking 40 year old. I guess he learned the power of aging from Kiryu itself
This is Shin Amon, who is probably pretty young.
there is a whole clan of them, plus as bruh said, it's Shin Amon from Judgement.
Very cool vid! I'm trying that myself at the moment, so thanks for the tips!
That was an emotional rollercoaster xD can't wait for more ^^
Wow. This was great. Great job sticking in there
That Majima and Saejima boss fight tho
Honestly that come play wrecked my first time around and made me grind at the battle arena but that fight is easy compared to the millennium tower. The tower is just punishing at every fight.

... I want dinosaur constellation blankets....
This is great love to see new content from the best channel on TH-cam can’t wait to see the rest of the team make there one thing video.
I laughed at Ash's cameo. True Queen of the Damned.
love this video Rosie! I relate to this experience lol
Great new segment. And yes Rosie, you did platinum this game like a dragon - I'm imagining little flames erupting from your mouth as you whisper-screamed 😂
But I agree with Ed, I do miss the old Friday intros...
@@bradreed4414 i gave up to platinum judgment because of a Mini game. Puyo puyo is pure rng. 😂
This HAS to be Rosies most satisfying Platinum after all that. Dedication to her craft is an understatement!
YES love the new video format can't wait for more great stories
Just finished the game in tears last night. After watching this, I’m now terrified to face the tower
Damn I was considering trying this platinum but im getting second thoughts now
Great video idea. I'm excited to see more of this!
Maaan my soul was crushed just hearing that you lost to the boss QuQ Thank goodness for the retry!
Well done Rosie. Dont think I could ever do this one.
Really loved the vid. Cant wait to see more 'That one...'
More of this series please, this is so brilliant. Rosie was the perfect choice to start it tbh
Yeah that feeling when you finally get that really hard trophy or platinum makes all those hours worth it. And hopefully it's a good game too.
I know your pain. I get platinum in this game just few days ago. I must say, this is my first JRPG experience but i really like Yakuza series, so i was kinda in a "enemy territory". But still this game is awesome, one of the best in Yakuza series. So, congratulations!
What's your take on Judgment?? I feel like that's the most over looked one
@@TheNightWolf-WildCraft I bought it and totally forget about it
But i will play it one day...
@@gwither5137 Please do it's my #3 favorite game of all time, you won't be dissapointed!!!
my notifications worked for once
Awesome work! That trophy is crazy, whisper screams well worth it!
OH MY GOSHHHHHH we have the same bed sheets 😂😂 star dinos ftw!! Congrats on the Yakuza plat Rosie!
Peerless resolve would save you multiple times.
After the grinding for my main jobs and a couple extra levels on other jobs for the skills, I beat it first try.
I do relate with the "thinking the requirement was exaggerated and getting one shot on first fight" tho
Wait so no more Friday Features??
Look forward to this series! Well done Rosie and great video.
You're aware that you can copy your save file to a USB stick, right?
Back that save file up before you defeat the final boss in case it crashes.
@@luckymouse1988 I am aware of the feature, but unfortunately I didn't own one at the time. Thanks for the advice though.
@@hotflash4494 Hope you find the time and drive to run through the game a fourth time 😃
To this day I have never got a platinum in the yakuza series you gotta have mad grind for it imo
10:34
At first glance it looked like Nath was cuddling with Delsin Rodent.
This is the one trophy keeping me from ever getting the platinum 😭😭😭 I don't have the mental strength nor the skill you have, Rosie! Nobody deserves that plat more than you do! Well done 👏
Mahjong has always been my worst enemy, from 0 to 7. Even dead souls
Its a bit harder to mahjong for non-asian people. And then, there is also too much of luck factor
Great video! I’d certainly like more of these kinds of videos in the future.
".... Hearing this song for a repeated 2 hours."
Kiwami 2 full clear players: you don't say...
i just you know got the red bat cuts your time down a LOT
yakuza 5 players playing as haruka:.....
I just got the platinum for this game yesterday. The true final millennium tower is absolutely nuts! Lol, the grinding alone.. hell of a game though (and yes I spent plenty of time in that dungeon fighting the invested vagabonds, I ran away from the other fights to cut time off since the exp I got from them was basically nothing compared to the them)
Kakatte koi!!! Love Yakuza franchise!
I've got it on my list, I'll play it someday for sure...but after watching just how much grinding needs to be done, the only platinum I'll be seeing of this is through this video. Congratulations Rosie, you're my heroine for pulling this off.
Ash sleeping like Count Dracula is gold.
I love this. Can’t wait for more!
