Last year, I drove my family from Colorado to Chicago, Illinois a 1100 mile drive to once again meet up with Fr. Philip Pavich where he retired. We stayed a few days in St Louis to see the fireworks at the Arch on July 4th and attended daily mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis.
Little did we know, Fr. Pavich at the age of 89 would pass away a few days later after a fall down a flight of stairs on July 29th, 2019. We spent quality time with him in his rectory on July 6th, 2.5 weeks earlier before his unfortunate fall. Although he no longer believed in the authenticity of the apparitions that did not stop our many telephone conversations on the subject. It was my hope in sharing my deepest and most personal experiences in Medjugorje to perhaps change his mind. Our last conversation was on July 26th, 2019. Unlike our previous conversations what would last for hours, this particular call was rather short because he was in a rush to provide spiritual direction to a priest in Iowa. God is good, both priests exchanged hearing one another's confession. Little did anyone know, that would be Fr. Pavich's last confession as well.
While visiting Medjugore for the 1st time, I waited in line to receive confession, standing for eight consecutive hours (yes; 8 hours). Time well spent! To meet whom I strongly believe is now a saint.
It gave me goose bumps to hear his name, "Fr. Philip Pavich" announced in Medjugorje via marytv.tv/ while the Franciscans asked pilgrims to pray for his soul only a day or so after his death. Thank you Jesus and Mary!

Fr. Pavich last assignment was at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Illinois. He called my work and left a message for me on July 16th, 2019, the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. In that message he expressed his deepest and warm thanksgiving to meet my wife and five children. Obviously, I responded to his kind words shortly afterwards.
My first time on Apparition Hill, was on July 16th, 1991, the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. At that time was a simple wooden cross surrounded by many stones and burning candles. Our Lady’s statue that stands erect now was not there on the Hill of Apparitions.
When I hear our Blessed Mother say, " thank you for responding to my call" I melt and from the bottom of my heart want exclaim " why should I be honored with a visit from the mother of my Lord."

So many stories of healing in Medjugorge. When we scratch the surface of faith and learn the indivual stories both in our churches and in prayer groups on pilgrimages we learn of the true nature of our god. A selfless living loving father.

Nice to see this wonderful documentary on Medjugorje. On our Ladys Messages. If only people could ignore all earthly distractions and devote time to peace the rosary and mass. I see decline were there should be increase

This is great! It is all real. Gee I am hard headed but still God through Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and the holy spirit, have offered their love to me by enabling me to also witness the sun miracle, and so many more. Pray, pray, pray your way to heaven. We are being called. Don't ever give up! Let the Holy Spirit lift you higher than you ever thought possible. I am still a work in process but this has encouraged me onward.

Hello Frank, after this pandemic or whatever it is, please consider a trip to Medjugorje. Do not fear flights, planes fly daily worldwide and so few accidents
I was there in '87 and '90. It is incredible this is still going on after so many years. I can't imagine what that town must look like today hosting so many people.

What video is it where (I believe it's villagers) said a rosary (or two) were left on a wagon and they believe Blessed mother gave them to them.

Their is quite a few long term miracles. Look up David Parkes and Father Rookey. I had stories there of the severly dissabled Healed both in the physical and mental health. A friend told me of a war orphan taken by a nun being given a house and the boys long term healing from a muscular dystrophy over mamy years in Medjugorge. Read Sister Emanuels Book on Medjugorge it tells of the speaking tonges , prophecy, healing from Catholic, other denominations, shared christian faith in all our churches. The Virgin is our great intecessor with the sacrements
Fr. Phillip Pavic (above) rejected Medjugorje, didn't he? Why don't you tell that story?
I suggest you read the comments. I will not speak bad about a priest especially this one. What I can say, had you known all the details, all the other things Fr Pavich objected to, you would no longer give that much credence in what 'he thought' about Medjugorje. That is why Jesus said, Judge not.

But I wasn't judging. I rejected Medjugorje too, I found Fr.Phillip's turning against it very helpful. I lived there for a time in the early 90s, when he was on of the priests there. I didn't know him personally, but I attended plenty of his masses.
When I came to reject Medj. Fr.Phillip's explanations were very healing as I had spent ten years promoting it on and off, and was lost and bewildered once I came to (painfully) see what was really going on there.
So, believe me I wasn't judging him at all.
However, it was a poor comment, and I apologize again for that. Sorry to hear that he had died, glad you got to spend that time with him.

@@msj5885 Fr Pavich did not believe it was possible for a 16 year old girl could go to hell. I will not provide more info. Just think, hard and long about that statement. Again, I am not going to bash the priest because I highly admire him. He has troubles/ issues, you may assume he would not have a problem with. If no 16 year girl can go to hell, well, than you can see the confusion he developed about Medjugorje?
Regardless, Fr Pavich is NOT the authority in Medjugorje. Holy Mother Church is!!!
The Church established a commission to study the apparitions, and yep, the results favor Medjugorje in a most positive way.
Pope Benedict created the commission not Pope Francis. That alone speaks volumes
