Maybe you could spice things up by not qualifying, or doing weird startegies, but leaving it right there after the winning moment just doesn't seem right.

Better yet just do upgrades at much lower rate because he simply did them way too frequently and did way too many of them which resulted in unrealistic domination from Sauber throughout this second season. Even if he chose Williams or McLaren it wouldn't have been very long to dominate with them at the rate he was constantly using upgrades.

Im sure the 'braking zones' must be marked in some way so the AI are able to know when to brake. Then they could make a system where you get a penalty (or perhaps have a chance to get a penalty) if you move in the braking zone while a car is, say, inside the distance of a car length behind you. Also, a lot of the contact that keeps being made, specifically wheel to sidepod, during overtakes, could be minimized by making the sidepods and the car floor breakable. That would insentivise avoiding contact, and thereby make an improved rules-system less important (not to say it wouldnt still be great to have).

I don't have a problem with the two T1 moves, Ricciardo was alongside or ahead and entitled to take the inside line, in real life the other driver would have probably backed out and tried to set up an over under, instead Ben tried to hang it in there and had to run wide. The other overtake I thought was fine, again entitled to the racing line, but that little jink in he breaking zone (which was just down to the Ai trying to adjust itself to the line, cause computer game) was real dodgy.
If Ham gets P1 next race, title fight continues to Mexico. If Ham gets P2, Ben just needs P4 to win the title (on count-back). If Ham gets P3, Ben just needs P5. If Ham gets P4, Ben just needs P7. If Ham gets P5, Ben just needs P8. If Ham gets P6, Ben just needs P9. If Ham gets P7 or lower, Ben wins the title in the US GP.
I hope you decide to carry on career mode. Even if you decide to start a new one with different "rules". It's good fun to watch. Also stopping the career mode early if you win the championship is not a good idea, at least give us closure
I think you should do a career mode and limit yourself on how fast you are allowed to develop a car like outside of recourse points also put a one upgrade per weekend limit and a one upgrade every 3 weekends so that the car is more balanced compared to the rest and start at a lower team again then you'll feel like everything is more rewarding.
