The lymphatic system is an open circle (not a closed one) because its starting point doesn't coincide with its endpoint. The lymphatic system starts in the interstitial space and ends in big veins.
    The lymph capillaries are blind-ended.
Lacteals are lymphatic vessels in your gastrointestinal tract (GIT).
What's the difference between lymph and chyle.
►Get my notes and cases at / medicosis ...
The lymph node is a bean-shaped body (not a gland) that interrupts the flow of lymph through the lymphatic vessels.
Afferent lymphatics go towards the lymph node, while efferent exits the node. The lymph node has cortex (which contains the follicle, germinal center, mantle, and margin).
Lymphocyte activation and differentiation occur in the lymph node.
Lymph is a colorless fluid that floats in the lymphatic vessels (lymphatics) of your lymphatic systems.
Formed from the interstitial fluid (extracellular fluid) and returns back to the big veins (Superior vena cava) through the thoracic duct and Right lymphatic duct.
Lymph slows down when it passes in lymph nodes.
Lacteals are a special type of lymph, they are milky because they contain chylomicrons.
Lymph node enlargement can happen in cases of lymphoma (painless lymphadenopathy) or infection (painful).

Whether we are in sleep or awake, the sound of music or talk broadcast from a radio must activate our brain causing some blood circulations in our brain. Assuming this is true, while we are in sleep, our lymphatic pathways doing over night cleanup seems to be partially obstructed if we keep radio on at night while we are sleeping. This seems to suggest radio during sleep is a bad idea.
    Please comment. Thank you

I am expecting you to shed some light to my assertion and statements here if it seems valid to you. I am not a doctor. You are turning around my question and asking me about it. Because you are supposedly a doctor, I hope you could answer the following questions:
      1. Does brain reacts to or processes incoming sound whether we are sleep or awake?
      2. Does brain reaction/ processing of an incoming sound cause some blood circulation in the brain?
      3. Does such a blood circulation interferes with nightly lymphatic cleanup in the brain because of obstruction in lymphatic pathways thus the clean up doesn't finish successfully?
The reason I am posting these questions here is to learn from you. I ad not have any supporting evidence, You may reply I don't know to each of above 3 questions. In that case I will move on and ask someone who possibly has some knowledge about them.
      Thanks.
