Thanck you very much for your vídeos. Today I resolve a small problem on my w124 200D 1991, by changging one fuse. It makes a small continuos noise, that stop when I put the left our right adviser. After wathing your vídeo, I find the right one and it was broken on the top. Thanck once again.

Just one week ago I bought a W124 E300 from 1989. But my question is it possible to deep clean or regenerate those corrodated fuses to save them from the landfil and money, of course? They look very robust and copper should always be able to be cleaned to be as almost like new. Just ask because was not able to find those copper fuses on the german market and shippnent from US to Germany is expensive, too. Have trouble with lights from in and out side and the central looking system. Therefore, my fuse box need service, for sure. Stay save and blessings from Germany
You could clean the copper ones, but I would not bother with the aluminum. They would just continue to corrode. Newer replacements have an anodized coating that will minimize corrosion.

Do you put a dab of grease on the end terminals of the fusebox,fuse box, to protect the terminals from corrosion.

I seem to have some sort of a grounding issue with a loose wire somewhere in my 1983 W123 200. Whenever I go around a sharp corner either or both the window wipers and the radio seem to stop working. The radio seems to be able to go directly after it shut down but the window wipers more often than not do not work again until I do another abrupt manouver with the car. What could this be and where should I start looking? Kind Regards, Christiaan.
Have you replaced all your fuses and cleaned the contacts? If so move on to ground wires. Is your car rusty? Has it been subjected to a lot of road salt? If so you will have a bigger challenge than if it has not been. I would start with all the ground wires first ( cleaning and tightening ) - then move on to pulling apart and cleaning and the wiring plugs. Last thing you might replace is the electrical switch behind the steering lock assembly.
