    Watched the entire video. Straight forward and easy. I like that the starter interrupt is within the module unlike a separate relay. On my car, I have a viper alarm. I added an automatic window roll up so when I set the alarm to arm and I had my windows down, they'll automatically roll up on their own. Or reverse the install and when disarmed the windows go down. That single orange wire is what send the trigger to the separate module to activate it. Pretty cool neat feature to have.

    Your video is the best video that I have seen, so far. You describe everything, and then the viewer can follow what you are doing.
    Other videos don't say much, they just do it. They don't explain the purpose of every connection and wire. Some of them are even mute. You have excelled over, provided us your knowledge and experience.
    Thanks!

    Thanks for making this video. Just installed a Viper 3307VM in my 00' Civic and your vid helped tremendously.
    It previously had a Clifford Matrix 12.5X in there, but both remotes took a crap and eBay/Amazon had the discontinued remotes going for $120+. Figured this would be a good time to "upgrade" to a modern unit.
    Your video helped me make the new install much cleaner, as I was able to take some time to tuck wires where I wanted and each line was cut to length to where I wanted.
    Now I don't feel so discouraged to do an install lol, cause I had the alarm kit sitting for a while. Feels good to have a working alarm again! Thanks man

    • @Donnythelatemodeltech

      I really don't recommend proximity sensors, they false alarm all the time to the point you ignore your security system . And to answer your question honestly I cant remember if the avital has the input for the external sensor, I leaning toward no.

      Quick question, I am putting the alarm unit in a maintenance work van. I have some LED lighting installed in the back of the van that is powered by 12v. Would it be possible to use the Aux function of the alarm to toggle the lights inside the vehicle to be on and off? Also, since the alarm FOB has a trunk button, can I use that to open my side and back door actuators separate from my front? Would I need a dedicated 451M for that?

    • @Donnythelatemodeltech
      @Donnythelatemodeltech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The back and side door is going to be tricky if it has oem power locks. If you have to install actuators you can use the trunk button.

    My car alarm is made in China and some words are spelled incorrectly.like Langton iassume means ignition. Since I have power door lock I don't need that relay

    Great video!!! I order the electrical tester today, that will be very helpful, thanks. Can you please provide a link to the soldering iron you were using and recommend the correct solder? It looks like you didn't have to use flux? Thanks again!

    Thanks, Donny. My kid just bought a 2006 Taurus SE and I'll be giving this a go for her. 12volt does not seem to have the wiring guide for that model; where else would you look? Thanks again!

    What’s up bro! Nice whip! I was wondering if all I wanted was just to unlock and lock, would I only need to wire 12v and ground?
