I sort of knew Peter Green in his final years when he was living on Canvey Island.
His nephew Joe and friend Paul tried everything they could to get Pete to go to the tribute show, but he just didn't want to go.
He was happy living his life on Canvey.
He was such a humble guy, and just didn't understand what all the fuss was about.
He used to spend his days fishing on Paul's boat, going on day trips around Essex, and having little guitar jams with Paul.
Pete played guitar right up to the end.
We were all gutted when he passed.
He was such a sweet soul.

Christo. This is a wonderful tribute to our boy from Bethnal Green, so good to know his last years were spent contentedly.
He's gone, but his musical legacy will live for ever. I for one love playing his stuff on guitar.

Rick was a roommate with us at Kutztown . His band then was The Wright Brothers Blues Band. We were his roadies at frat houses at Leigh and Lafayette way back in 1971. He was great then. Always focused on his music.

I knew Rick at K Town also, Beck Hall I think. He had a record collection stacked in the floor 2 or 3 rows 6 feet out. Had a Les Paul and that Alamo and first thing I heard him play was “Becks Boogie” note for note

"Cool" doesn't come close to describing the talent and personality of Rick. A genuine legend of all time.

Fantastic tone from a musical genius. A super genuine guy👌. If he has an ego, he keeps it down low. Very down to earth and humble.
I ordered a CD from him some time ago, and he included a hand written note in the envelope. A real class act!👍

I was with you when we saw Fleetwood Mac in 1968. You continued to listen, and i went another way. I've been wondering what you are doing now, your career has been like the Dalai Lama blinking, a blessed movement and clean; the way you play guitar. Thank you for doing this recent interview. I loved being with you in 1968 and I love seeing you now!

I was impressed with Rick when he was almost the band leader at the Peter Green Tribute Concert in London on January of 2020..

Great interview and video, Rick Vito is such an underrated guitarist!
Was lucky to see him perform (unannounced) at a Fleetwood Mac tribute band a few years ago. Obviously I didn't have a clue who he was as I didn't know much about the post Rumours FM lineup. He came on after a break where the band were playing more of the Peter Green era music and when I heard Rick Vito play on tracks like Black Magic Woman and Albatross, I was so impressed, gobsmacked and fascinated by his tone on those songs. Really blew me away how powerful of a lead guitarist he is
    keep up the good work!

I'll just add that Rick uses a very lush palette of chords when he plays his "nobody likes this stuff" music for himself. He'd played one of those for just me once & I said I liked it to which he said "nobody likes this stuff." I snatched the guitar from him & played a composition of mine with a similar vibe & we had a real moment. Talent!

Great one. You've outdone yourself this time. Vito is one of the unsung guitar masters. Didn't know you had such a good ear. (Joking of course). Thanks for this one.
Btw I had a harp player who, actually would never play a harp "correctly" instead of the root/tonic he'd adamantly grab a harp that was the 5th. (For those who don't know, if the tune was in G, he's got his E harp out.) He loved playing "Room To Move". I'm obviously a bit older, but the first time I ever heard of Cream, a guy down the street, had Wheels of Fire when it first came out. He would play Toad, over & over, you'd think there were no other jams on the album. I bought my copy new for $5.05 had to borrow a nickel from the old man, I was around 13, I never heard the end of it. Where I really got introduced to other genres, was in the Navy, heard all types of music, back then. Any way too long of a comment, but I'm certain you're used to my verbosity (is that actually a word?). Thank you again Sir.

Once I heard "Room To Move" it was the only John Mayall song I listened to.
