This is the best live recording of "It's So Dirty" I have ever encountered in terms of sound quality. That's important because Glen does the 2 greatest, most blistering guitar solo's in new wave history on this song. Complete with the perfectly British non sequitur set up of his nearly disco synth performance on "Slap & Tickle". There's even a dry English segue between the 2 songs featuring Jools doing a little PSA . 🤣😂😂 When I discover this kinda stuff I can see how occasionally the dreary BBC was actually pretty cool. 🤘
@VoroninHop Absolutely! And he throws little tricky things in them but never enough to ruin their overall enjoyability as solos. Sadly, here in the states, the kids (Gen Z/Millennials/traitors) have wholesale forsaken rock music entirely for (holding my nose) auto tuned hip hop and pop country😡🤬😡 So it's rare to be able to talk to someone about guitar solos at all 😉
Magnificent performance by squeeze singing slap and tickle and it's so dirty from the album cool for cats a&m records this episode features a live session by Chris rea singing letters from Amsterdam rain coat and a rose broadcast on 3rd of April 1979
Wow this is some great rock n roll, I'd never heard either of these tunes before, gonna have to check out more Squeeze
'Tempted' and 'pulling mussels' are great

He's massively underrated for his guitar leads - there are so many good ones in Squeeze songs.

Original bassist Harry Kakoulli was replaced by John Bentley for their follow-up album (1980’s “Argybargy”).
It is John Bentley on this OGWT performance.
@@TheMusicianTom Wasn’t Harry Kakoulli still with them by then?
Slap and Tickle had a Disco-influence.
Shhh! Someone will hear!
Glenn: guitar monster. We're not worthy...
Is there any footage available of the band jules and the polar bears singing fate good reason on ogwt and crawler would be most grateful al
