Just subscribed bro, thank you. My dad passed away when I was a young’n and I don’t know much about mechanics and such. I appreciate you man, you’re really helping me out
I have 2019 Nissan Frontier, but it's a 4 Cylinders with 5 speed manual shift. I usually use ramps because I'm too fat, but I found out that I can take off the air cleaner and have a direct access to oil filter albeit a long reach down there.
So I’ve been watching a lot of frontier videos lately. I’m really liking yours since your a long term owner and have some miles on the truck. I have an 08 Silverado with about 130k on it and it’s really starting to let me down lately. I found a 2014 frontier with 71k on it. Super clean truck. Only thing that seemed to be a problem was a minor accident back in 2015.It’s a little more miles than I care for but I’m seriously thinking about pulling the trigger on it.I got stuck in a situation about a year ago and my credit isn’t great at all. I drive about 40 miles a day so any input would be greatly appreciated
Thanks for watching and happy new year! If I needed another small truck I would NOT hesitate to buy another frontier. Have you watched my review video?
I've found this 2015 truck to be so easy to work on. Recently changed engine oil, transmission fluid, and rear axle oil. My only complaint is the marginal gas mileage of 16-17 mpg
I recently purchased a 2016 frontier, are they normally noisy inside the cabin while driving.....almost sounds like the drive shaft....not sure though.
Great video, I never thought of removing the skid plate. It can be done without removing it. Funny, just changed mine today with the same oil and filter as you. Advance Auto had the on on special, it was 10 or 11 bucks for 5 quarts
Thanks for watching and welcome to the channel! Everybody has their own opinion on the answer to that question. I have been doing the oil and oil filter every 5000 miles with full synthetic. It has worked well for me. You can probably go longer with no issues, that is just my preference as I like to change it BEFORE it NEEDS it.
@@AGuyandHisProjects I agree I've changed almost at 5k everytime with new oil filter and been fine. Hell we went 10k about 4 months ago and it still runs great with nothing wrong and no signs of damage. We just babied it until we could change it again.
The bolts on my skid plate rusted and snapped off a few years ago so I left the plate off. I don't drive on unpaved roads so it's not a problem . On the plus side it made doing maintenance easy. Nice video, Thanks.

You should do flood mode after doing oil change before you start it back up. Do you get the cold start rattle using that oil filter? Good video and thanks 👍
@@AGuyandHisProjects flood mode is to fill your oil filter before starting the engine. To get oil pressure. What you do is hold down the gas pedal to the floor while cranking the engine over for about 5 seconds, the engine will not start until you release the gas pedal.
