That's intended, in all actuality it's a very clever episode in the way it shows the positive influence that Leonard has had with Sheldon and allowed him to become more mellow and more accepting of socialisation, notice in this episode how Sheldon's spot is designed to eliminate social distraction to engross himself within the show whereas now it is designed to incorporate and allow for social interaction, arguably because of Leonard's influence.
First time I watched this, I thought Sheldon was just being his weird/normal self. Then, I realized he was pretty validated doing this. He had to be sure that Leonard had the potential to be a good, compatible roommate
I don't really understand why Sheldon even has a roommate. In other episodes he shows that he clearly can afford it on his own, keeping so much cash stashed around the apartment. He would be better off with no roommate.
@@rocketmom60 he has actually stated that he cant afford the apartment on his own. he earns a reasonable amount, but it's likely he can afford say 90% of the apartment comfortably, meaning alone he struggles but with a roommate he's well off.
