@@airfrance4365 Jokic had 21 points (14 points in 4th) and 5 rebounds in the second half. He was 5/8=63% from 2. He shot poorly from 3, going 0/3 in the 3rd and 2/5 in the 4th= 2/8=25%. I wouldn’t call that garbage. The rest of the team was garbage, but Jokic was the only Nugget doing anything in the second half. He had 34 points, 19 rebounds and 7 assists in the game. If his teammates had knocked down 3-5 more shots after he got them some open looks, he would have ended the game with a 34 point, 19 rebound, 10+ assist triple double and they would have won. Then the conversations would be much different today. Jokic had a good damn game and Murray had a really good first half, but no one else did a damn thing.

Also, I’m confused by your comment about his “empty stats”. What exactly do you think you mean by “empty stats”? I always thought of empty stat getters as players like Christian Wood averaging 18 points and 9 rebounds but not putting in the work and effort anywhere else and therefore resulting in no team wanting him because his empty stats don’t result in winning basketball games. Jokic is currently one of the best at lifting his team to contender status and winning basketball games. In general, Jokic doesn’t usually have to score 30+ because he’s getting everyone else involved and creating for his teammates, but other than Murray, his teammates were a no show in game 7. So, the only stats to be had in game 7 were going to have to come from Jokic or Murray. And they weren’t at all empty, they were the only thing that kept them within striking distance. They lost 98-90. If just a few other guys had made a couple of shots, the Nuggets probably would have won. Jokic scored 21 in the second half and Murray scored 11, for a total of 32 points. The rest of the team scored 5 points in the second half. Jokic wasn’t great in the game, he only shot 46.4%, which is below average for him, but not garbage. He had an objectively good game with 34 points, 19 rebounds and 7 assists. In what fantasyland is that garbage? I agree that he wasn’t clutch in the end and that he should’ve gotten 24-28 rebounds instead of 19, and 12-15 assists instead of 7 and 42-48 points, but he’s not superhuman. Plus, your role players have to actually make shots to get more assists and they went ice cold. He played 47 of the 48 minutes carrying his role players the whole time with some help from Murray. Jokic and Murray combined for 69 points on (26/55) 47% shooting (not bad), but shot poorly from 3. Jokic was (2/10) and Murray was (4/12) for (6/22) 27.3% combined. The role players absolutely WERE garbage, shooting (8/28) 28.5% and (2/11) 18.1% from 3, for a grand total of 21 points between the 6 role players.
I don’t even care that the Nuggets lost, I just care about objective reality. If KAT had 34 points, 19 rebounds and 7 assists in a 98-90 loss and someone said he played like garbage, I would be in the exact same position I’m in now…standing up to some delusional, emotionally biased hater that thinks that KAT producing 34 points, 19 rebounds and 7 assists is garbage. The plain and simple truth is that the Wolves were hungry and wanted to win more than the Nuggets. They fought harder and brought more energy and confidence into the second half and in the clutch, and their defense shut down everyone not named Jokic or Murray and even made it much more difficult for Jokic and Murray. The Timberwolves were the better team in the series and deserve the praise for the win. They have had the best defense in the NBA all season, and that defense won game 7. 98-90.
