    I've always wanted to make a big fairy princess dress, so I finally did! I was very inspired by Paolo Sebastian's Persephone gown and used that as the kind of blueprint for my own tulle gown. I was able to use leftover beaded lace from my regency project and I love how it turned out! The construction process is very simple so it was a pretty quick project.

    Okay, that is absolutely magical. What's even more magical to me is wearing something that looks this see-though without showing anything unseemly. How does one accomplish that? Strategically placed lining? Special undergarments? Copious amounts of fashion tape? I don't understand how people wear Paolo Sebastian gowns for their weddings - from the pictures, it looks like one wrong move and the bride would be be flashing all of her family on her special day 😆

    • @moth.faerie
      @moth.faerie  ปีที่แล้ว +12

      nothing complicated or sneaky at least in this dress! it's literally just the lace applique on the net and I made sure to try it on a couple times to make sure i had enough applique on there. for the lower half I have skin tone safety shorts on, but I made sure to do enough layers that it would be opaque enough

  • @ShannonMakes
    @ShannonMakes ปีที่แล้ว +1

    OK, so for sure someone else added this comment, but I didn't see it right away, so I'm gonna suggest it: for the extra appliqués on the back (because I instantly had the same thought: your hair is gonna get tangled in it), if you really wanted to add it, maybe add the appliques, then sew a second layer of tulle over the top of it, so that you can still mostly see the appliqués, but you don't have the hassle of having to unstick your lovely hair every 5 seconds!!

  • @thinkuthink
    @thinkuthink ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Definitely post the hair extensions short!

  • @JadeSummers218

    It's very much giving Persephone and it's so beautiful. The reveal is SO pretty and the dress is so nice! I watched the make segment twice because I'm absolutely astounded by how quickly and beautifully that worked up. Maybe some bead-heavier bits of applique towards the lower portion of the back cape might give it some weight and then the weight might be enough to not get your hair tangled in it? (P.S. Your hair extensions look WAY more expensive than they were so you should def post the short.)

    • @moth.faerie
      @moth.faerie  ปีที่แล้ว +6

    No idea how you manage to keep making this channel even more of a treat, but you do every time. The dress is just WOW! Paolo Sebastian is my favorite designer and you captured the spirit of his works perfectly. The colors are gorgeous and the dress is so delicate. Beautiful styling, too. I should rewatch the video to figure out the cape, you finally shed some light on how this style is made because I just couldn't figure it out. Would it work out in doll size, I wonder? Anyway, stellar work as always. Looking forward to your new videos!
