@@thecoffeehouse5714 Good afternoon. Firstly,Mr Rees-Mogg was instrumental in extricating the United Kingdom from the unaccountable, and,by now failing, European Union. In my opinion, that renders him worthy of praise as a defender of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Secondly, he is a devout Christian, with unwavering moral and ethical principles. He is in addition,a successful individual in his own right. These qualities, to my mind at least, make him EXACTLY the type of person we need involved at the very heart of the Government of our nation. My final point would be,that since he is a thinking, breathing human being,it would be impossible to describe him as a caricature! My kindest regards.

But, he was right to seal his lips in the British interest - it is important for us to maintain at least a semi-amicable relationship with the Biden regime. An Afghan national, Peymana Assad, is now a councillor in the UK. Though I have no particular beef with her personally her whole focus appears to be that the UK is 'bad' and that we should rescue any Afghani who wants to come to the UK.
    1. We are not responsible for the Taliban
    2. We are not responsible for their interpretation of Islam, or Islam itself
    3. She is a UK councillor who is meant to represent the interests of her local constituents, she is not there to spend her time representing Afghanis
    4. She should be more damn grateful for her life in the UK instead of criticising.
    5. Who the hell voted for someone who isn't even British, who doesn't show loyalty to Britain and is more concerned with foreign affairs than rubbish collection and graffiti? What is the ethnic makeup of her neighbourhood? How much longer are we going to tolerate anti British enclaves voting on ethnic and religious lines, undermining our own country?
    6. How does she feel about Afghanis who have made it here, legally or illegally, who have committed crime or terror attacks? How many British lives is she prepared to sacrifice for her 'own' people who are not prepared to fight for their own country?
    7. Where do her loyalties really lie?

Why all the hate for Rees-Mogg? I'm Australian so don't know all the nitty gritty details, but he's always struck me as one of the more decent people in politics. He may be upper class, but I've always felt a sense of humility from him, and the (now all but abandoned) understanding that the government (and the nobility before government existed) has a duty & responsibility to the people, to govern in their interests, not rule over them with an iron fist. If there's legitimate reason to not respect Rees-Mogg I'd like to know about it, but up till now I've only seen vague tribalistic dislike and general animus because he's not a leftie.
