What is the benefit of using the CDS template + Fiori template VS just the Fiori template?

The SAP Cloud Business Application profile comprises all necessary extensions in order to develop a business service based on the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model and develop a Fiori app on top of it. If you want to implement a SAP Fiori app based on an OData service from e.g. a remote source, you don’t need the additional CDS extensions and therefore should rather opt for the SAP Fiori profile.
