Fascinating insight. I feel sorry for the people who got stung with that Vito camper. The architect of that bodgery that should be ashamed, but I'm sure they're not. Be great if you have time to film the combining of the two vans.

Oh dear, that T4 sickness comes in waves😢 A friend of mine gets it sometimes too, but the upside seems to be that there are enough people out there desperate to unload the wedge in their back pocket (for some irrational reason) to brighten your day and significantly freshen up your bank account !!😊😊😂

I used to sell those 638 FWD Vito’s new from the late nineties, they were rusty at 3 years let alone 20plus years, absolute dogs! I’m surprised there’s any left TBH!😢
I used to deliver IVECO vans for a seller in the South East. The high top, long wheelbase van is the best handling van I1ve ever driven!! The traffic light grand prix was great fun as the boy racers in their crappy `tuned` Fiestas and Corsa`s got a shock many times when my van scorched them away from the lights! Best fun ever!! The short wheelbase vans were a bit skittish and didn't like cornering at speeds like their longer brothers.
Did you know that the software for cruise control is already pre-loaded? All you have to do is buy the cruise control lever, plug it in and give your right foot a well earned rest!!

I once quite awhile ago taken a mk 5 cortina in for welding started at the oter ctll ended at the top of the a pillar I declined to patch and plate it so the owner tookit to a bloke that would I would not go in the car after it came back as I knew the bottom of the a pillar was not the same as the top
Had a customer's service guy destroy his pinion input seal with a plastic bag the same.

I had an 846 on as a taxi had to give it the summer off to rebuild the front inner wings and cross member . all rot was cut out , what panels could be bought were anything else was folded rolled or stretched shrunk into shape / my welding machine of choice is a half size pro machine running .6 for the majority of the time and argo shield or cougar 5
I've always wanted a Vito but the thought of using the Foot Handbrake ,does my head in 😂
These 638 Vito’s have a conventional hand operated handbrake.
I drove the minibus version of that Iveco, it's safe to say its achilles heel was electrics and trim......
some say IVECO stands for 'It Vibrates, Everything Comes Off'...

I did the same when I had the room to hoard, buy lovely turdy things to fix others, there are cretins around, they can even end up keeping their jobs😳,example I worked for a rather large rental company, said car transporting chappy managed to drive under a clearly marked low bridge, once he managed to destroy 4 lovely new cars on the top deck and the deck itself plus 3 on the bottom deck stopped and still had a job,not sure who’s arse he was kissing but it was unbelievable

The iveco would be a great van for a camper or race van. If I could afford it...I wouldn't hesitate....I may have an idea for you to sell some fans and bit s to a group of people who we know....
The worrying thing is, nothing about the sad story of the crafter surprised me. I saw something similar happen with a mk5 transit and half a roll of barbed wire a lot of years ago. Every inch of it had gone round the propshaft on it's way to other things. They didn't stop until the wheels wouldn't go round and they'd burnt half the clutch out trying to rock it backwards and forwards. .

Im 2014 due to a difference of opinions between myself and the bank, me and dog and all me tools found my swb transit slightly cramped, and looking at a warehouse full of expolice riot vans,, the nice man selling them brought me to the office made me a nice cup of coffee and suggested I steer well clear of his vans,

Thanks for the tour I much prefer your kind of work to what I get in but saying that I don't have the yard space so a Def green eye from here lol . I to have always questioned the bonnet bras lol . Ok so the ex police van would you be up for selling both rear doors and the side loading door Inc window . I can’t help but think that the tipper van driver had a Clarkson moment when he drove over the tipper bag. Probably just shouted “Power” before proceeding to race down the road until bang and everything gets fooked. What a lot of damage just through a moment of stupidity. The sort of thing you see when people race through deep water and flood the engine and inside their vehicles.

T4 ARE GREAT YOU NEED AN AUTO SLEEPER THEN YOU CAN STAND UP IN ONE. 2.5 ARE VERY SOUGHT AFTER IM AFTER A REAR BUMPER IF FOR SALE BLACK ONE

I had a Vito at 5 years old and it was starting to rust really good nippy little vans shame the body work let them down a bit.
Al what do you know about diesel pumps on a 1.9d y1 engine vw golf mk3 , mine is leaking from the right hand side if you are facing the bonnet?.
Bosch ve as far as I can remember, with the electric shunt motor not a cable?
