The Rockpot is cool, but it really should have a metal lid. Hot steam could condense on the plastic underside and drip down on the food, contaminating it. I imagine the lid could even get soft and sag if the rock is really hot and there is not much food inside.
If i have a electric stove top that means ive got power so I can cook, and if i have a Gas stove I can cook, but its a good Idea to heat the stone on a open fire or in my case i could heat the stone up on my wood burning stove but then again I can cook on the stove so for me its a good idea for camping, and God knows i'm not being mean I was trying to figure out how to heat the stone without power or gas or wood. its good to put the stone in and let it cook on its own tho. just needs a better way to heat the stone. again not being a butt.
