There are no Great Whites in these waters. They like cold water such as Southern Africa and Western Australia. I have seen a shark looking like a maco with a pointy nose but I'm no expert. It had good long teeth though. I met it face to face while snorkeling in merky water and it was just as shocked as I was and sped off. There are white tipped reef sharks to dive with and they are quite harmless also black tipped reef sharks.
in 10 years they wont be catching all those sharks and bill fish. the whole of that coast is so heavily fished and no fisheries management. more and more fishing boats every year. the fish have no chance.
