Subscribed. Definitely interested in seeing a doctor go through the series in order. Sometimes when you jump around episodes, the context of where they are in their medical and personal journey is lost. An intern (Season 1) might see things differently than full residents (Seasons 2-4), and so on.
This episode touched me on a personal level. My mom was a multi-pack smoker (as was just about everyone in my family except me) for decades. She tried to quit once when I was in Junior High, but she was doing it for us and not herself. (After a couple weeks we were begging her to start back up again.) But she'd always said that if she ever got a medical scare related to smoking, she'd quit immediately. Eventually around 50 years old she got a cloudy chest X-ray that they followed up on. Thankfully it was nothing, but she was true to her word, stopped smoking the day after my birthday and hasn't had another cigarette since...about 15 years now. We're all very proud of her.
Not gonna lie, hearing that you're reviewing the entire series... it made me subscribe. I love Scrubs, and I often rewatch the entire series. It's gonna be a lot of fun watching with a real doctor!
I just started watching because YT is painfully aware of me craving for Scrubs reactions, and I immediate liked that you give leeway to, say, impending daydreams the protagonist goes through. Tons of people reacting within the framework of their profession immediately go "oh, that's so wrong" - well yeah, maybe confetti instead of blood squirting out of a TV wound might be the creators taking stylistic liberties, who would have thought. Definitely looking forward to it, if you think full watchalongs would be something you'd enjoy, there definitely is a market for you to squeeze some bucks out of potential patreons and I'd more than welcome an undiluted view into you reacting to that show.

I love that you are doing this. Several doctors have commented/reviewed episodes here and there, but I've hoped for someone credentialed to have a look at the whole series. It has its ups and downs, but it is one of my favorite series.
Dr Cox is one of my favourite characters in anything ever. He's an asshole on the surface, but deep down he has a heart of gold. Not too many characters like him on TV nowadays.
Doing the whole series in order will be awesome because when you jump around you miss out little pieces of continuity that connect storylines! Just don’t watch Season 9 - stop with the finale of season 8!
Scrubs was one of the great medical sitcoms. Great characters and writing. Some of the stories are still with me since I saw them years ago. I developed a huge crush on Sarah Chalke after she did the very goofy and nerdy I told you so dance.
I just finished binging Scrubs (for the 3rd time) and what's a better way to fill that Scrubs-shaped hole in my heart than to watch a real doctor react to the entirety of it. Subcribed!

my clinic had a doctor that would ask the nursing team on their oppinions before prescribing meds to a patient, nott hat he would automaticly prescribe what we thought was right, but he wanted to get different perspectives as the nurses just have way more contact with the patient and may know things that he missed. As nurse, we absolutely loved that approach and i am pretty certain it benefited a lot of patients too. And then theres doctors that think they are god and cant fail and do whatever they like...ignoring nurses telling him that XYZ is a bad idea...and when things go wrong as predicted, blaming the nurses for administering wrong -.-
It will be fascinating to see how far you get before burnout -- I mean, there are a LOT of episodes. But I love this series and I also enjoy your reactions.

This will be great! These American comedy sitcoms are a dime a dozen (I think that's the expression? Not from the US...) but this one is timeless imo. I think it will still be being watched and enjoyed for decades.
definitely excited to see all of season 1 at least; as the show goes on I feel like it starts to focus less on the medical aspects of the setting? it's never completely gone of course but there are more episodes later about the characters' personal lives
oh hey I've hit season 8 now and it's really great, they're focussing a ton on that year's interns so we're back to watching young doctors learn about the job again :) EDIT: and as soon as I posted this, next episode, bam, wall-to-wall fluff, not a single mention of anything to do with medicine that I can remember

SCRUBS is my favorite comedy and one of my favorite shows. I definitely think you should watch the whole series, it's totally worth it and a fair amount of the stories actually happened toi the creator's friend, a doctor with the initials J.D. Although the janitor is hopefully mostly fictitious.
As well with cancer it's something that benefits massively from early detection and intervention so it's something you want to test for right away even if it's unlikely. When I went to the doctor for a persistant cough, cancer was one of the first things they looked for, not because it was likely or because a cough = cancer but because if it is you want to catch and treat it right away, not wait until the patient is coughing up blood and struggling to breath or whatever and it's already metastasized.
I’m so hyped and excited for your adventure to watch every episode of Scrubs. I’ll do my best to be here along for the ride. Do your best to stick to it for sure though, stay strong. Gonna enjoy this entirely for sure.
Definitely react to the entire series. Season 1 sets up the character development but it really takes off in Season 2 in terms of realism and hilarity!

I'm a teacher, and I've noticed a similarity between educators and medical professionals. My cousin and SIL are doctors, and when they are in doctor mode- it's the same with me in teacher mode.
Bear with me. I have five sisters and two brothers. The first sibling was born in the 50s. My mother, deceased, also smoked at least a pack a day. But, my aunts said they could tell when she was pregnant because she wouldn't smoke while carrying us. So, in one case you could tell when a woman was pregnant.
I am enjoying this and I hope you continue. As for the smoking thing, working from home has increased my smoking habit but I also work for a call center so smoking is a must.
Good luck on the journey. Even if you don't make videos about it, watch the whole series anyway. It's the best combination of drama and comedy I've ever seen.
Great idea! Only recommendation would be to find actual DVD copies if you can. A lot of the music had to be changed on streaming channels due to contracts and the original music really adds something that the replacements just can't match. The music at the beginning of this episode was 1 of the songs that had to be changed I believe.

Dismissive, arrogant, or downright rude to me and my family members. But you seem very down to earth, intelligent, kind, and genuine, and I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to see that in the field of medicine. Please keep doing and being you. Back in the day there were no smoking restrictions. You could smoke while you're working. No smoke breaks. So, two packs was a normal thing. But dang, when I was bartending, I was very relieved when smoking was no longer legally allowed except in certain areas. Everyone was smoking, mostly. You're always breathing it in. In that environment, even someone that doesn't smoke can have bad lung problems because of their job.
Definitely strongly suggest watching the entire series i remember when i did loved every episode and yes dr cox an ms espinosa aka carla are my top favs

The characters are fantastic, and some of these episodes are just so freaking good. Curious to know where you are watching it. Unfortunately, some of the newer mediums don't have the original music, which is such a shame. Scrubs did an absolutely fantastic job of picking the right music.
Scrubs is almost without a doubt my favorite TV show of all time, and I LOVE watching it through other people's eyes to kind of relive when I first watched it. So, I will be here for every one you do guarantee. :-)
I love my primary doc and his speeches. Like...i reported, proudly, on my checkup that "i lost 15 kilos since last time!" and his response was "Fantastic, now you only have to loose 15 more and you just got 15 left to go" which is kinda hilariously motivating despite id disagree cause i was into bodybuilding and weight 100kg lean so...im not as fat as my weight implies, though i certainly lost muscle and gained fat after my son was born
