When I go to fritangas Monimbo in Kendall=Miami I go and order Carne azada con maduros fritos=(sweet plantains) and then I add another order of tajadas con queso frito and cabbage mix w/ carrots and vinegar.! I wish I go and visit Nicaragua. I learned how to make Tres Leches from a lady friend from Nicaragua. They are lovely people. My dream is to go. I can speak spanish since I lived in San Jose Colombia. I live in EEUU. Always wished to visit Nicaragua. Enjoy the devious food.

Isn't it amazing that once you leave the US and head south or to the Caribbean/West Indies a lot of the food look similar but probably taste differently because of the seasoning and the way it's prepared. I can see a lot of the dishes that look familiar like the cabbage/coleslaw, fried plantains, green and ripe, rice with the beans and all the meats. I don't think Carlos could keep up with David in the eating department or maybe it's because he is shy.
Ive been here first, just don´t need to hunt for the thumbs as other posers. Lets be first to finish watching boys! Thats what matters ;) Youre always the best David because you publish exactly when I have my lunch so its a no brainer to spend my lunch with you :D Last but not least...you're the king because of your language skills bro. Big respect
I am not huge on red meat but when I crave it, it Must be a good Nica carne asada for me. In know here in Miami it's all about the Argentinian and brazilian steak houses which are good. However, for me nothing beats a good Nica carne asada, Nica beans or Nica fried cheese. And let me tell you no matter how good some are here in Miami you haven't had real Nica food until you eat it in Nicaragua the burst of flavors you'll get are nothing like the ones you find here. The gallo pinto is the best, for those of you that think it's just your typical rice and beans, you couldn't be more wrong, Gallo pinto is delicious and on a league of it's own. Can't wait to go back someday.
