I was lucky enough to have grown up in NJ. Back in the late 80s and up to the mid 90's I used to go see them perform a lot at CBGB in NYC and at City Gardens in Trenton, NJ. Saw them a total of 17 times.
Ramones put thei heart and soul like no others. The Clash are so a close second in a more politic way. Sex Pistols were naive and raw as you are when you were a teen, and on them them there was also the hand of Malcolm McLaren that was a brilliant mind but even narcissistic.
I have loved this song for at least thirteen years now, but a few days ago I really took in the full magnitude of the lyrics and I began crying like a baby. I hope that Dee Dee Ramone is a trillionaire, adventurer, playboy, Adonis in the next life. The Ramones were a talented group.Miss them a lot.
I was lucky enough to have grown up in NJ. Back in the late 80s and up to the mid 90's I used to go see them perform a lot at CBGB in NYC and at City Gardens in Trenton, NJ. Saw them a total of 17 times.

Ramones put thei heart and soul like no others. The Clash are so a close second in a more politic way. Sex Pistols were naive and raw as you are when you were a teen, and on them them there was also the hand of Malcolm McLaren that was a brilliant mind but even narcissistic.
I have loved this song for at least thirteen years now, but a few days ago I really took in the full magnitude of the lyrics and I began crying like a baby. I hope that Dee Dee Ramone is a trillionaire, adventurer, playboy, Adonis in the next life. He MORE than deserves it for the admittedly shitty hand he was dealt in this past life, the tragic one in which he was known to many as Dee Dee Ramone, aka Douglas Glenn Colvin.

Sou novo, tenho 24 anos. Lembro quando comecei a curtir bandas de rock, que me levaria a curtir metal hoje em dia. Tava na quinta série, acordava de manhã cedo pra tomar café da manhã e ir pra aula. Muitas vezes ligava a tv na mtv e tava passando esse clipe, nostalgia pura.

This is my favourite Ramones song at the moment , I have been a Ramones follower since I was 16 , now 46 years later I still have the same passion for their music , I never got to see them but what a great catalogue of music they have left all of us , immensely underrated , rest in peace The Ramones .
Friend of mine took his life a year ago. This song reminds me of him. We both love the Ramones but his demons and struggles got the best of him in the end. Isn't it sad that soft good hearts are the ones that get and take the most abuse. RIP Jurie Du Toit
