Cute ,ur just a baby. That's what I tell my son and he'll be 30 in September. He grew up with Metallica, I actually gave birth to him with the call of katulo in the background from creeping deAth.
I played this at a huge family party in a hall recently. prior to this song i was playing all sorts of deep house, electro, drum and bass. I decided "fckit" and wanted to really change it up to what I was really feeling-some Metallica. Once Whiskey In The Jar came on, i noticed everyone grooving to it LMFAO not to mention so many people coming up to me either saying "hey this is a thin lizzy remake?????!!" or "hey who is is this? love it!". Got the same reaction to Lowman's lyric, Astronomy and a number of other Metallica ballads I put on \m/
Aww yes Indeed this was a remake of the song by Thin Lizzy and In most cases I tend to like the original best but not In this case..Metallica simply out metals Thin Lizzy on Whiskey In the Jarrow.
Im so glad im not the only one that told my daddy i wanted to listen to whiskey in the jarro when i was little! Now we listen to and drink whiskey in the jarro together❤
More than half of my family (from my father's side) listens to Metallica, I have also been a member of this honorable group for 6 years and I can tell you one thing: I have not been disappointed. James you are a guitar god
@@notcommunistcrapshoot3098 The song is BUTCHERED! And the video is STUPID! "Thin Lizzy" is so cool the way the made the song....If Metallica can't handle the material don't try to cover it! Don't blame me if the only video they could think of is to throw some chairs around and what the lesbians had to do with anything? It's just bad!
Not only does this video have beer, expensive guitars, pillow fighting sluts and loud music, but also lots of destruction of furniture. I see nothing wrong here. Considering Metallica are man-children.
In my opinion, oh sorry young people, "IMO", this is the best version of this song. I learnt the words from this version, and hey youngsters, this is a cover of a very old song.

The Cork and Kerry Mountains
I saw Captain Farrell
And his money, he was countin'
I first produced my pistol
I then produced my rapier
I said, "Stand and deliver oh, or the devil he may take ya"

But the devil take that woman
Yeah, for you know she tricked me easy
Musha rain dum a doo, dum a da
Whack for my daddy, oh

There's whiskey in the jar, oh

"Whiskey in the Jar" is an Irish traditional song set in the southern mountains of Ireland, often with specific mention of counties Cork and Kerry. The song, about a rapparee (highwayman) who is betrayed by his wife or lover, is one of the most widely performed traditional Irish songs and has been recorded by numerous artists since the 1950’s.

You damn right it is bro.
Oh shit I remember that party! I started clapping and everyone joined in.

Making a music video like this looks so awesome... But so expensive...
in 90s Metallica had a lot of videos not like in 80s.
I'd assume they were planning on demolishing the house anyway.

Not only does this video have beer, expensive guitars, pillow fighting sluts and loud music, but also lots of destruction of furniture. I see nothing wrong here. Considering Metallica are man-children.
