My issue is that when using any browser(chrome etc.), laptop lags too much, (if not using browser, it works fine), so will upgrading to 8 gb from 4 gb DDR3L will work or its a SSD things needs to be upgraded (currently 1TB HDD)? or should I upgrade both ram & ssd, or what else would speed up performance of my laptop?
Can you do the reverse of upgrading the ssd and disassembling it? My 3558 cracked on the right side near power button and I wanted to replace with a new shell.
I don't own the computers and don't have the money to just buy and take apart every model of computer. These are customer computers. I can't be taking their things apart like that and I don't have the money or storage area to just buy computers and take them apart.
Thanks man! unfortunately I accidentally pulled the plastic tab of the trackpad cable. it came off and now the trackpad doesn't work :( ... tip. you don't have to remove that one if you're just going to upgrade the ram. the keyboard and display is enough. my laptop is very old the pull tabs got really fragile and sticky. I also accidentally removed the one from the power but luckily it didn't strip any parts of the actually cable itself

Installed a crucial MX500 1000gb SSD and two crucial DDRL3 8gb RAM chips. The computer won’t correctly startup now. It cannot do an automatic repair. What do I do now?

If i remove the HDD and put that in the dvd place by caddy and put the SSD in the the HDD's place, Can the laptop's motherboard be damaged in the long run??

I had the same issue and eventually got it out by applying a little force at a time and there was a metal plate that came from somewhere and not sure how it goes back in

I bought and install teamgroup dd3l 16gb=8+8 and wd blue ssd. The problem is when i play videos on youtube are slow or when i do something is not too fast. Processor Intelcore i3 5005U 2.0 ghz dell 3558. I really dont know whats the problem

Sounds like you need a better screwdriver. Better to invest in that than a bracket.

A lot of consumer chipsets (like this) will not support 16GB stick - go with 2 8GB

Check task manager. Most likely processor is too slow.

You'll want to check if the laptop is using one slot or both. You'll want both sticks to match for best performance.
