I used the bowl method for more than two years - with hair success, but severe neck problems. If you can get away with styling in an upright position, I recommend keeping your neck safe.
My hair was so dry and crappy recently until I clarified with some apple cider vinegar, and then did the bowl method / plopped in cream + gel on dripping wet hair that I applied in the shower! Voila! Moisturized, shiny curls!! I will be doing the bowl method every wash day I can from now on!
Thanks for doing a video on this! I bought a bowl from the $1 store that works great as it’s so light it’s easier to get the back and sides up to the roots.
I went out and bought the twist products you used on a whim because I needed some new products. I wasn’t expecting much but when I tell you that they made my hair look only the way that the OG deva curl products could. I’ve been sad without the OG deva curl and haven’t found anything comparable but these products gave me beautiful definition and softness. I love that the shampoo is oil based and lathers nicely and THE CONDITIONER IS BIGGER THAN THE SHAMPOO! I feel like that is such a thoughtful touch and really makes me think that it truly was made with curly girls in mind. Thank you for reviewing these and amping up my curls!
Your hair looks absolutely amazing! I am going to use the links that you provided to purchase some of these products. I’m starting to get a little tired of styling my curly hair and need a change so I’m excited for this video and for the products that you showed. I’ve never even seen the ball method but I will definitely be looking into it. Thank you India for making this video while you’re on vacation! Love you!
Hiya, do you mind telling me what stage you use the strainer? And for how long? I recently got my hair permed (Korean wave perm) for the first time and this is all new to me haha
I've been doing the bowl method for a couple years now and my curls are pretty defined and tight. I use rice water for the "rinsing" when I'm doing it.
I’ve been using Twist products for awhile & have only used the light moisture products. Now that I see the medium moisture working so well on your hair, then I’m going to try them. From what I can tell, we may have similar hair types~ TU so much for sharing this product today! 💗💗💗 And, your hair looks so fabulous, as usual! ☺️
Looks so good! I keep hearing about this so I need to try it! Should be interesting since I also usually style damp lol. Did it take your hair a longer time to dry?
I love this method for super defined hair, but honestly it takes my hair FOREVER to dry too because the clumps are so much bigger than I usually get. I also don’t get as much volume and for me I’d rather have more volume and way less dry time on wash days. It’s definitely fun to try though😊
Pretty new to your channel just wanted to let you know I'm so glad I found you. After watching your videos you always make me feel so upbeat and bubbly just like your personality. Hope you're having a wonderful time on your cruise. I'm definitely going to try this method. 🤗🤗🤗
I feel like this is the im going to a wedding and going to wear my hair natural. For me, Way to much work for a normal wash day but def great to pull out for the special occasion.
I think I would prefer to see new products with you using your normal method of styling and new methods with your usual products! It is a bit hard to work out what is product and what is technique otherwise.
Agree, I’m trying to embrace my curls for the first time( mine are exactly like yours and I’m blonde too) and I can’t tell what’s causing the “ greasy “ look part of the process it’s driving me crazy and I loath crunch! and I’ve tried every combination of this and that and products ain’t cheap!all I can say is ugh 😩.you are adorable I’m new to you and so glad to have found you and I’m loving you on this journey. You have helped me so much. Just to add do you know of ANY products that mimics vavoom, Sammy, thermasilk that they no longer make way back in the day when I tried for a minute they did make my hair beautiful .
Finally bought the Dyson... LOVE IT!!!!! dries my hair in half the time.... Didn't like the Glaze, the Beach Blonde color was really a toner, and turned my nautral color dark..had to make an emergency appointment with my hairdresser...I needed my highlights ! IT HAD BEEN 6 MONTHS! XO
you have SO many products in your list here, could you say which are your favorites for conditioner, leave it and curls? Also wonder who here does NOT use shampoo just conditioner. Thank yoU!
I have been struggling for so long to find the right products for my curly hair I have seen you use so many products I was wondering what is your favorite product brand for curly hair
I’ve tried this before and although it looked great it took forever to dry, like double the diffusing time and also it put too much product on my roots after wet plopping and dunking my head in the bowl and my scalp was itchy
May be this sounds strange... but I can imagine the 'bowl method' is usefull when hair is low(-er) porosity ... but technically high(-er) porosity hair can absorb (very) easily water and all the nutriënts of the products by itself when products are applied and scrunched in.
Do you brush through your hair to detangle before you shower? What about after you shower before you apply your products? My hair texture is almost identical to yours but I’m confused on when to brush it? I’ve gotten mixed answers.
Question: do you still like Garnier’s curl products/line?? I have fine 2a-2c waves and the shampoo (papaya extract) and conditioner (watermelon extract) have been working pretty well for me! Which Garnier stylers if any would you recommend for my hair type?
I haven't tried the bowl method, but I might have to do it. I want to try Twist products after I use up some of my current products. Great video and I love your results.
Just wondering if anyone knows which is a better purchase/does the best job between this InfinitiPro “TEXTURE” blow dryer and the InfinitiPro “CERAMIC” Heat Technology (black with rose gold accents)???? I’ve been going back and forth without deciding for months now?!? I NEED a new combo diffuser BAD! Opinions PLEAASEE! Thanks y’all!!
I feel like it would have been better if you had done this upside down. It was hard to see and felt like you were missing sections of your hair. What is the purpose of a wet plop?
I use bowl method every time, but with much more water and CG approved products. And I am not sure that bowl method will work the best with products with silicones ...
Your hair looks amazing! Can I have the link to the spray bottle? I’ve scanned the link list like three times and didn’t see it. 😅 then again it’s early morning here so I could still be groggy and missing it. Help a girl out 🤣😂🙏🏼
Try using distilled water as a rinse, I put some in a spray bottle and maybe once a week or every other I will spray before I condition then rinse. You will be amazed how much it makes a difference especially if you have hard water which will make your hair dry and crunchy. It’s also really good for dry skin I use it to spray on my face before I put on my argon oils and makeup. Hope this helps you like it did me .💖oh and I have the exact same hair too.
Where did my comment go? Lol... Do you have an recommendation for a hairdryer we international followers can use? The Dyson is too expensive, and I cant find the InfinityPro or anyone similar to it that will work with an EU plug
@@indiabatson26 OMG!! You answered :D But no, the EVA NYC is also an all american brand, almost impossible to get to Europe... And same problem there, won't work in EU even with converters because of the big difference in Voltage... Might risk burning down the house :( You guys use 110V, we have 220V, and even with voltage converters they say its a big risk when the equipment is not made for dual voltage... Could you make a post on what to look for in a hairdryer? Like, the shaping of the diffuser, Ionic or not, infrared or not, ceramic or not? Or does none of that matter if you just get the right diffuser-shape?
I am in HELL with my Curly HAIR……I used a product that I ordered on Amazon and it’s like it burned my hair it was BAD product… So I’m trying anything to help it until my Hair appointment in September…..My hair is blonde like yours and very long and I have a lot of Hair…..I’m going to try these products…… Watching from Virginia 🌹
I'm still mad at myself for listening to the hair stylist about Olaplex. I bought this very expensive products from her, and it was worthless. What a waste of money!
I LITERALLY used this method the other day and thought, “it would be so cool if India did a video on this!” Thanks so much, love you!!
I used the bowl method for more than two years - with hair success, but severe neck problems. If you can get away with styling in an upright position, I recommend keeping your neck safe.
I just dip the left side in, then the right side. No upside down styling to be hard on the neck
How did you use the ACV, I thought it would dry your hair more? What products do you use please, is your hair thick?
Wowow!!! 😍😍😍 this is so perfect!!! Stunning!
Thanks for doing a video on this! I bought a bowl from the $1 store that works great as it’s so light it’s easier to get the back and sides up to the roots.

Omg best comment ever !!! This truly made my day. Makes my job so fulfilling 💛💛 thank you for sharing angel
Have you used the conditioner as a shampoo, wonder how it is?
Awesome! I usually fill the bowl with like 2 inches of water and love it
Your hair looks absolutely amazing! I am going to use the links that you provided to purchase some of these products. I have used a strainer for mine and it does wonders too 😂❤ You have been glowing here lately, looking happy and healthy! I adore it 😊

Awww I was so happy with the results !!
I've been doing the bowl method for a couple years now and my curls are pretty defined and tight. I use rice water for the "rinsing" when I'm doing it.
ohhhhh rice water rinse is smart !!!
Did u dothe rice water yourself or buy it
@@sarahbrake3429 I make it myself.
Why rice water?😊
I would love to see a video of how you diffuse your hair . Love you 💋

It took an ETERNITY to dry lol
I don’t think this is something I’ll do a lot, but it’s fun for a special occasion (: you should make a video on it !!!

I was on the fence on trying this method but after seeing you do it and have amazing results, I’m definitely going to do it now : )
Excited to try the bowl method & products. Enjoy your husband & cruise
Pretty new to your channel just wanted to let you know I'm so glad I found you. After watching your videos you always make me feel so upbeat and bubbly just like your personality. Hope you're having a wonderful time on your cruise. I'm definitely going to try this method. 🤗🤗🤗

Would you do an update refresh and nighttime (for the hair) care routine ? 💕
Your hair always looks great but wow this result was incredible! I gotta try that bowl method
For just getting your hair bleached toooo… OMG! It looks beautiful 😍
Your hair turned out amazing!!! Thanks for sharing these products; will definitely be trying them!
Best wishes for a great cruise w/your husband!!!
I’m gonna give it a try, praying the whole time it comes out like yours 🙏

Question: Do you have your hair cut in long layers? How do you describe the cut to your stylist to help with your volume? Your hair is beautiful!
Short layers!!
Wow!! This looked like it was a really difficult video to film, appreciate your effort and showing a new method! 😃😃 Thank you!

One method I've never tried because I'm afraid it would take FOREVER to dry. How long did it take for you to diffuse it? Looks fantastic!
I was thinking the same thing. Did she not towel dry at all?
It takes an eternity 🤦♀️🤣🤣🤣 I should have mentioned that lollllll
Looks stunning! Do the Twist products leave a filmy feeling the next day?
Could you try the mousse gel mousse technique? 😚🥰🥰 you are gorgeeeouuuus! Love youuuu! Love this!

I've been wanting to try this brand but couldn't find anything about it. Now I'm tempted
Hair is beautiful, have fun on the cruise. Stay safe

Looks great! India who cuts your hair? I’m in Dunwoody and looking for someone. I have very similar hair to you!
Which IGK dry shampoo did you use? Couldn’t find it in the description. PS love love love your videos!
Looking to get my haircut do you have layers? What do you ask for when you get a cut? We have similar textures.
Congratulation on the vídeo and Happy Friday
how long do you diffuse for?
I literally feel the same way about my hair LOL I want my waves/curls to look good, but not perfect 😂
I’ve tried this before and although it looked great it took forever to dry, like double the diffusing time and also it put too much product on my roots after wet plopping and dunking my head in the bowl and my scalp was itchy

Even your “frazzled” hair looks wayyyy better than mine 🙃
Hi India! Have you ever tried the Texture ID brand!? If so what is your take on it?
How often do you get your hair trimmed?
Do you brush through your hair to detangle before you shower? What about after you shower before you apply your products? My hair texture is almost identical to yours but I’m confused on when to brush it? I’ve gotten mixed answers.

Does anyone have any tips on how to keep the curls from falling out at the end of the day? My curls tend to fall flat the longer I leave my hair down
My hair frizz so bad scrunching

I feel like this isn't the bowl method..I thought you dunk your head in
bald your hair
What?
Too much talking!!!!!!!
Ok this is stunning. Running to get a bowl lol 🥣 💛
