Here's part 2: th-cam.com/video/Q4ChVr6y6w0/w-d-xo.html
Fun fact. I literally just started replaying this game yesterday. More games need a narrator like in this game. Bastion had a good narrator as well.
Hades too
This game deserves a full series. Nice video.
I would like to see Universim with Sega they would make it much better
this game reminds me of black and white from back in the day. I loved that game.
There was a few god games a the time. Their selling point was the creature, your walking and shitting divine avatar cow. Unlike Populous-type spells it was a living, physical part of the world the meeples saw as your representative. I don't think anyone else had something like the avatar. I remember trying to teach the cow to toss stones on enemy houses with my little sister.
I should look up how the creature AI worked.
Black and White was a special kind of fun! I can still hear that audio: "Death!"
The narrator is pretty good. I haven't heard him repeat himself in a long while either. Reminds me of the AI assistant from Startopia and the Muckyfoot humour of the time.
The water system always confuses me at first. Water comes up from the lake with a pump? And the entire lake bottom-freezes at winter, or at least so much that the pumps break? Carting water in a bucket from the lake is impossible. The nugs have no idea how to melt ice at first. I remember that the lakes used to have a set water amount early on, and a group of nugs could potentially drink it dry.
Also, the devs must have loved Black and White like I did growing up and decided they wanted a bigger and better version so they made one!
You made Backpack sleep with his mother and then killed him for it at his father's request and blamed them for it lol.
Biblical! 🙏
@@blueskull6789 I thought so lol
Proper Abrahamitic wrath of Nook.
Intro reminded me of Little Big Planet
Ever played Star Citizen? It's still in development but it pretty much describes one of the space sims you want to play. Check it out if you haven't already
That game will never be finished lmao.
16:22 there is a game called starship simulator that might scratch that itch,
While the game is fun it has a lot of problems. The lower tech buildings are very hard to distinguish from each other and with the roads near impossible to see and the weather changes (especially snow) it is really hard to find the buildings you want... and there is no tag system you can turn on or radar /map or anything. I really struggled finding anything. In the later game the roads and taller and bolder looking buildings make them much easier to find. I also wish there were more game setting ranges, so things like natural disasters and such had 5 settings. Also having resources like oil and gas not run out would be a nice option. I also wish there was a faster game speed too. I do with there were more upgrades for the buildings, but I know that requires a lot of art and such. Overall I would give it a 5 out of 10... but the price is pretty good. Based on the price I would give it a solid 6 or 6.5 out of 10. Having more visible stone age roads and markers that you can turn on and off would jump the game at least 1 full point. I too do not care for the roads much, but it is not a huge thing.
I would love a remake of Gauntlet Dark Legacy. With more colors. And the race is separate from the colors. I miss those types of games
I love this game! Are you going to Play it more? I’ve just subbed because of this video x
That's the plan, it may be a week or two but I plan on getting to the end game stuff
O hi Nook, didnt see you there
This reminds me of Black and White back in the day...amazing game
So it's Spore, done right?
Roads aren’t “pre planned” they are formed by your nuggets walking to and from resources/buildings and slowly become paths. Like people making trails in the woods. Over time the grass stops growing, the path is more clear, therefor more used, become more clear, so on and so on…
Roads are litterraly preplanned in this game, and you can see them when you place any building.. Placing a building where a future road will go will 'destroy' the road, and only in the latest patch would removing that building re-add that road to the game.
@@jasam01 they’re routes to resources….
@@ZakisHereNow The routes exist before you place a single thing, and yes they lead to resources among other things, the main point is they're all "pre-planned" it's like, one of the most destinct features of playing this game.
❤ your Dad jokes
God has a limited Ui for our simulation.
How did you get your nuggets skin to be green?
I skipped that part, you can customize them when you start the game
@@Nookrium Thank you
Looks like Spore
Someone call Maxis and tell them these people stole the Spore source code.
"The perfect ecosystem is formed" Then you add people...
Thanos: Am I a joke to you?
People are part of the ecosystem..duh
It was super disappointing but LoG the studio for JLO got hit by a combo of the Aus economy and a funding pull so it's sadly on indefinite hold due to mass employee layoffs
I really was looking forward to the latter stages of the game with multi-planetary civilisation building but I guess this is what we'll get for now.
This could have been a decent game but I don't like the implementation of ideas. For starters I want ground level first person not a floating camera in the sky.The cartoony graphics are not my cup o tea.I prefer better micro managing instead of just starting with a bunch of minions I like to see places/exploration to discover npc's to hire.Much more needs to be implemented differently but that is the basics I need to see.
That’s your opinion, some people like this set up, like I like how it’s a floating camera and the cartoony style is cool. Of you don’t like this game find I different game that fits your needs
Literally nobody asked.
