    Is it possible to make an object ( like a car) move across the map, instead of just a line (even though that's cool in itself!). I've just started watching your videos and I'm hooked. You do a great job.

  • @orglancs
    @orglancs 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you. This is great as far as it goes, but the maddening thing is that you don't show us how to do something that you do several times during this video, - point to something using an arrow. It is obviously possible to 'automate' it, as you flip it out in a second. I would also like to be able to circle things, as I make 'how to do it' videos and to make these easy to follow, it is useful to be able to identify things unmistakably for beginners. Still, I'll have a go using what you have shown us so far, while I am waiting for your reply. Thanks.

    • @PDU_Tutorials
      @PDU_Tutorials  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those arrows are not made using PowerDirector, they are automated callouts from my screen recording software (Camtasia).

    Great video and tutorial. How would I be able to draw a circle (or box, etc) around an object that is moving across the screen of a video clip? That is, a randomly moving object on the video clip is identified and followed with a circle or box.

    • @PDU_Tutorials
      @PDU_Tutorials  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      After you create the circle or box use the motion tracking tool to make it follow the part of the video you want it to.

    I have a question, but first. Great videos! I'm totally new to editing. you inspired me to get power director. when I alter a video, say in fix or enhance. my playback is skipping and jumping. it's not smooth. Why is that?

    • @PDU_Tutorials
      @PDU_Tutorials  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the compliment. Anytime you change a video the changes need to render. This may cause the playback to skip. You can change your Shadow files settings under preferences and see if that makes the playback smoother.

    I am having a problem with power director 15, hope you can help. I am trying to do the same thing as you are in this video, but when I pull up the paint designer default page it wont let me check the box for {show current timeline image as background} therefor I cant see the image I want to draw on. Any help would be great. Thanks

    • @PDU_Tutorials
      @PDU_Tutorials  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Make sure your image is on the timeline and your playhead is over the image. Paint Designer should default to the "show current timeline image as background" option. If those requirements are met and Paint Designer does not default to that option then you should contact support for assistance.

    Hey amigo. Great channel. Always love your content. So...is there a way between PowerDirector and/or Photodirector, to draw straight lines and then animate this. Handy for my Real Estate videos. I need to show property boundaries. Photodirector allows to connect the dots. Why doesn't PowerDirector allow this? Please pass on to the Devs if possible. It would save me time. Adobe Animate allows this and in like 5 mins, but I'm unable to export an mp4 that plays in PowerDirector clearly. There has to be a way. Freehand isn't very useful. Straight lines and shapes would be better.

    • @PDU_Tutorials
      @PDU_Tutorials  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have no idea why they don’t allow it. You can use the Tutorial creation pack to make straight lives or arrows. You can also use a free photo app called paint.net and PowerDirector to create custom straight lines. th-cam.com/video/Ij3iNCLTcD0/w-d-xo.html

    • @PDU_Tutorials
      @PDU_Tutorials  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Find a way to keep your mouse steady so you can make a perfect circle. You can use this to make a dotted line as well. Just hold and let go of the left mouse button as you move. Once again you'll have to use your own mouse skills to make the dots the same size.
