Well explained but at the end of the video where you have opened the e-return for us there is a negative value meaning that it is a refund. How did it come about and during filing it was zero.
very true... first time am seeing progress in the videos. kindly put different scenarios next time, aside this one which is the basic, there are unique cases.which are not very common, but sometimes, a year can be special causing special circumstances which make it difficult in the filing returns except going to long queues of kra thank you
i have a challenge on filing year 2022 return. This is mainly due to the monthly NHIF tax rebate . when you fill in the page for Life Insurance it doesn't compute the rebate applicable on its final page which should automatically register in the return computation...
Hi Eddy, kindly note that positive tax due implies that is the amount of tax you ought to pay. Negative tax implies that you overpaid your taxes (pending verification from an officer). ^KT
@Kenya Revenue Authority very well and thanks for your reply, but then its my employer that pays my taxes through deductions, why then should I have be having balances, shouldn't KRA be taking this up with the employer?
Hi Antony, kindly note that positive tax due implies that is the amount of tax you ought to pay. Negative tax implies that you overpaid your taxes (pending verification from an officer). ^KT
@@barygarcia3128 negative tax value means you overpaid (at least per computations) you ideally ought to receive back, but remember your employer had already deducted and remitted the correct amount of tax to KRA. What KRA does is that they offset this amount with positive values in the future, so don't wait for a cheque, many would have manipulated the figures in order to receive too.
You missed the most critical step by assuming that one knows how to get to that page. It would be helpful to show how someone gets on that page first before logging into their account. What is the url for the page?

Kindly do a tutorial on the same. Thanks

On the last page for relief and pension you sum up the totals of the 2 employers. Otherwise everything else is already calculated
