Awesome restoration! You’ve created a work of art. Clever technique to amalgamate copper and zinc into brass. You even added a touch of humour at the end when you turned off the light. Great stuff....looking forward to the next video.
@@tommynygaardjensen8398 I could but the most important reason not to do that is that there is high possibility of lead in the paint, because it was used back then. Even though I have a suction system on my sandblaster, I don’t want lead paint fly around my workshop. Second it would take longer, because the paint was very persistent. Due to that the blasting medium turns bad much faster.
@@tommynygaardjensen8398 Using paint stripper in those amounts is definitely not more harmful than sandblasting lead paint if you use the proper proper protection gear, which I do. Please don’t spread wrong information.

I have watched this B4 and absolutely love your restoration and attention to detail. I love the combination of Brass and Black enamel. Even Brass and Copper look superb together. One of my favourite restorations. Just wonder about the history of this old lantern?

The little plate thing that I put in at 23:33 turns when you turn the switch and it closes the contact between the nickel plated brass parts which I am putting together at 22:40 Hope it helps, good luck with your build!
