Thank you I have understood what I need to do. My life it would seem has fallen apart but its fine. Turn to the I. True happiness is the I. Thanks, what a gift to discuss these things with this person.
At around 23:00: "We all have to do our own dharma. In Gita it is said that it is better to perish doing one's own dharma than to flourish doing someone else's. All our life we've been doing someone else's dharma. We've been doing the dharma of this person that we take ourselves to be. This is not our dharma. Our dharma is to be, just to be 'I', mere 'I', so hold on to 'I' and you are holding on to dharma.Hold on to anything else and you are letting go of dharma". Yes! All my life I've been doing someone else's duty, performing someone else's function. I've been doing the dharma of this person that I take myself to be.
So much substance in this grainy video. This is a good reflection on the modern world. These days we find high quality video content with a charismatic person looking straight into the camera and telling his truth. But those video's are becoming ten a penny. Michael James doesn't need all the technology and expensive thrills. He speaks from a true place. Interestingly the self help people have hundreds of thousands of views while true Michael has a few hundred
I do agree. But I try to remember, what difference does it make to us? Like Michael reminds us, 'The only wise way to use our freedom is to turn within to cling firmly to ‘I am’, thereby surrendering ourself completely to him'.
That dharma quote from the Gita probably held India back 2000 years. If everyone is there own island then a billion little islands contending for space will never organize for a common good.
