Cheap flights for end of Jan
Back in the day you could drive under the Jaffa jetty in a beach buggy. So much sand has built up over the years.
I’ve heard that ! Apparently the Kingston one also

Defo keen on Shimano flashboost. I wish they did finesse stuff with flash boost, like minnows under 60mm

One of my annual spots. I found a couple of squid hiding under the jetty near the metal ramp last time.
Perfect jetty for squid fishing !

Have you been back to Kingston SE? I’m heading there this week and hoping to throw a line in off the beach whilst my kids build sand castles.
Not since then mate, worth chucking a jigg under a float from the beach at Kingston, there’s plenty of squid about most the year !
Thanks for the reply. Have both the kids set with rods - floats and jigs - to keep them entertained. Hopefully they last at least 20minutes.

I have fished the jetty quite a bit you get some decent squid tommies trevally and a heap of eagle rays
Hot tip, don't set hooks on squid, if they grab it just jig it like you are the same way, setting it will snap tentacles
Cheers mate ! I wasn’t setting the hook on that one it was so small I didn’t realise it was there and pulled it’s tentacles off ha
