Other vanlifers that used C-Head toilets said that they need to twirl the mixer 20x so that it is fully mixed with the No. 2 and saw dust then it never smells. If it becomes hard to twirl that's the time they dump the No. 2..... Quite excited to know your process of cleaning it after dumping. Thank you for educating us in so many ways. Stay safe!! 😊😊
I'm wondering about it as well. Do you just dump the contents of the bucket into a garbage bag and then throw that in a dumpster? I'm wondering how the bucket itself will be cleaned too ...

Chantelle- you may not have your bigger van on the road, but you probably feel better going out now with new things, a decor overhaul (so to speak) and it just seems better organized. Now that your a seasoned mini van dweller/traveller, you know more about what works, what doesn't, what's needed more (or less) etc.. I send prayers that you &Joey stay safe and protected by God (as you understand him). Have fun!!

My son has a disability and needs a van toilet. I hacked up a bedside toilet and built a box around it and LOVE it! We just line it with a bag and a cut to size puppy pad and empty daily or as needed. So much more freedom on our trips! And the box is sturdy and can double as a seat outside if needed.

I designed my minivan around many of your creative ideas. I’m so excited for you. And I would also love to see some of your tie-dye techniques and finish items!
I have an younger sister who is x-military and taught me this produce trick. She put paper towel in the bag of veggies. I find flat against the outer edges of the bag and in the middle works best. It reduces moisture and prolongs the proper ripeness while reducing the smell. She would also line the veggie bin in her fridge by taking those bottom drawers out and placing it there. Of course, in those situations the paper towel has to be replaced as needed.
You are so organized and it was a joy to watch you pack the van. You get a lot into that space so bravo. Looking forward to seeing how happy you and Joey are going to be on the road. ❤🐕

Chantelle, why dont you get a plastic container as an insert in the cooler so your actual food isnt sitting in the ice? Thats what i do with coolers; works great!
Also, im never sure why people cover both sides of reflectix. The silver side repels the radiant heat when it faces the sun, so if you cover it, it doesnt work as intended.
I know the silver doesnt look nice, but it has purpose.

I think the silver is covered so that from a distance it doesnt look as obvious, in case you want to stay more incognito. But, ya, it then reduces the reflective quality, which is its best feature!

I'm thankful to people like you who have inspired me to try "car" life! I'm slowly starting, finally got a bunch of stuff bought and now gotta save some more money to get started i a few weeks! I've already been creating other traveling vids on my slowly growing youtube (would love for ya'll to come check me out and help me grow!) Oh and girl...just like you...I AM SO READY TO GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE! I am NOT in a happy living situation, absolutely miserable here! I will be bringing my 2 cats and it will be difficult I'm sure, traveling in a very small car...but I am going to try my hardest to make it work, pursue my photography and grow my business! I will be working the gig economy along the way (as long as the economy keeps going, never know these days) and begin to REALLY enjoy my life! I'm 46, it's now or never! So, PLEASE....Come check my videos I've made so far, I think they are very unique & even tho I will be actually videoing myself along w/my 2 cuties, I will still make those kind too!

I painted my windows black i love it. I painted only a little more than half of my sliding door windows black. I got tired of the window covering popping out. I used a foam brush and some apple barrel pavement colored paint. Spectacular

For the past 30 years I’ve done a lot of car camping, which taught me a lot of bad habits, carrying too much. Now that I’m finally starting out on the road, in my 2012 Transit Connect, I’m winnowing down to what I absolutely need. Which is hard, because I still feel I need it all! I can see you’ve already gone through that process and made a good fit for your space. You are an inspiration to me! If a young woman like you can do it, an old fart like me should be able to also! Hope you’re in Quartzsite again this January, would love to meet you in person.

It's good to see you back in the minivan! Word of warning, the spray paint on reflectix starts chipping and leaving paint flecks all over your van. I made that mistake last winter and I was vacuuming out spray paint out of minivan for months.

I still want to see it. I always wondered if the silicone strainers could be burned. It's nice to know. Oh, gosh! Forgot to put the window cover on first. Sounds like something I'd do. I'm always two steps back for each one forward. It'll eventually get there. Well, getting it in wasn't too bad I never even noticed the outdoor noise until you said it. Most of us hear "outdoor noise" every day, almost all day. I just love the way you are using that desk. I saw the clothes rack before, but I missed the install. That is really the most creative piece of furniture I've seen in a long time The file cabinet fits perfectly under it. What a pretty rug. Maybe you could tell us where you bought the rug, and the behind the seat bags. I'm so happy you and Joey are getting back on the road. I will look for your travels.

Those little push lights work great. I got many of them at the Dollar tree and I love them. Push on the whole thing and hold for at least a minute when you first attach them and it makes them stick on better. It tells you to do that on the label.

Polyester is a spun plastic, which is why it won’t dye. Everyone needs a tea box IMO 😊. Love those steps for Joey!
Oh, I didn't know that. That's why it's so hot when I'm wearing anything with polyester in it. I try and avoid it as I like cottons, linens, silk etc but they, sometimes the cute stuff is some % poly

Loving the changes and additions to the minivan! I made the same mistake of too much fabric on the window covers for my SUV. At first I was going to try magnets but ended up using suction cups, purchased at Wally World, (two at the top of each window cover) and that did the trick. Kicking around the idea of ordering the WeatherTech full set of window covers. I also thought about making new ones, spray painting one side black, pretty contact paper on the other side/inside. I might be buying a minivan or cargo van soon so I'm holding off on any upgrades/changes to the Highlander. Can't wait to follow your new adventures! Happy travels! ❤

I think the toilet may smell a bit, so check out the Gamma2 Vittles Vault airtight pet food container. No smells can get out at all, so you can confidently store plastic bags full of stuff, and it won't smell up the car. It's great to see you get back on the road.
