Whoever did cast a 22yrs old Colin and 24yrs old Bradley for this show back in early 2008 has my sincerest thanks. These two bring so much extra into their characters and it is on full display in the last episode. I'm an old coot and should be immune but these two get me every time. Sorcery for sure.
Gosh, i wonder even if the actors really know the impact they had brought on us. Can we ever get over this show. Its the story of magic.... which portrayed the magic of true friendship. Rarely , very rarely found in these days. Maybe thats why we love it so much. It reminds us what true love and friendship is... why not we learn from this and truly be noble friends for each other , for humanity ...... ? At least we can try. Maybe when that happens we will find Merlin in all of us and we will finally move on. Because then the story, Merlin is given justice it deaerves... I know it maybe difficult... but lets at least try.....
I started to cry since the first sentence came up. 'Everything you have done for me.... I know now' When I watched the ending episode I already knew what'd happen, but I still cried for a day. And my daddy thought I was crazy, but I said "dont worry pappa I just finished watching the best serie i've ever seen."

I totall understand you! By the moment theseries ended my son was 2 years old, a little baby and I found myself so devastated by Arthur's death that I couldn't pull myself together to look after him! Ittookk me a week not to cry. But still, videos like this one awake memories and here I amagain - sobbing...

Merlin's loyalty, Arthurs admiration for Merlin, how much they loved each other even though they never said it. It was beautiful. i just realized that Merlin not only had to watch Lancelot, Elyan and Arthur die and survive Gwaine's death but since he is immortal he also had to watch Gwen, Percival, Leon and Gaiuse die.. i feel kinda stupid for not thinking about it sooner but i also feel like a lot of us were to upset about Arthur and Gwaine to really realize that............
And that is if you you forget William, Morgana (because she still matterred to him), Freya, his dad, HIS MOM, Kilgarrah, Aithusa, Daegal, everybody who ever died because of the wars or because he had to kill them AND watching camelot fall. I'm sure i forgot many deaths but you get the point... This show is just pure pain..💔😭
Every time I rewatch this I cry because I realize that the first time I watched and It makes me feel really empty and sad He is alone, he don't have anyone y can't even think how much pain and suffer he felt... really I aprecite this Serie because this teachs me a lot about loyalty and love... really. And in my imaginations I really hope Arthur raise again for Merlin and Albion.
I think Aristotle said something about this..the love between men that is pure is one that is non sexual and not a surrender to the passion. These men clearly love each other in such a beautiful way. I'm envious!

In his final breath and in his final act as king, Arthur paid tribute to Merlin, saying, "Thank You." Arthur raised up Merlin. I always thought that it was Merlin who raised Arthur, helping him, in so many ways, to become the greatest king of the land. The chosen clips in this perfect video proved it.
No matter how great they are, how grear their destiny, their legend, how great their adventures at the end of the day these two come together and laugh at the day and struggle they faced. It is their exsistence...for me thats the essence of this great story. At the last episode it was truly made for their bond amd friendship and i think thats why those last episodes were called " Diamond of the day " ... at the end, it is not the legend of power and glory, it was theeee legend of their friendship.

I don't think I have ever so desperately wanted a different ending for a story in my life. They were brothers and they loved each other so much and it is shown here beautifully. It hurt like hell and it was worth every painful, heartbreaking, bittersweet second to see this beauty. i was bawling before the chorus even began. That's how blown away I was. It's got to be comparable to some kind of religious experiance, because I saw these characters in a whole new light after. I wish I had a favourite favourites list, because favoriting isn't enough. You know, I like to think that I'm over the finale...after all, it's been like four months since my heart was ripped out. But this...oh my God, this absolutely destroyed me. It was so tragically beautiful and wrapped up the emotional side of Merlin & Arthur's relationship so well. If I wasn't crying just by listening to the lyrics put to images of these two, I definitely was with the quotes. Absolutely fantastic job.

We can't deny that the one who suffered the most was the young passionate warlock, Merlin, who gave it all to protect those he loved, and more especially Arthur. Merlin's nicknames expressing his affection, his amusement were for everyone to understand his love for Arthur. It is only at the end Arthur acknowledged his sexuality, his love for Merlin, and Merlin's devotion and love. A tragedy of modern times.

When I first saw the ending of Merlin I did not believe that Arthur had to die because I knew that the show follows the Arthurian legends so I looked up the death of Arthur and it did happen in the stories which I think that the writers had went above and beyond to end a great show and it was a great ending to

I asked someone to make an edit on our Arlin with using the song of Phill Collins' "Against all odds". She promised me that she'll make in a week but she's made it within a few days. That song is really moving. I wanted to see it on them. So, please Ygraine give it a watch, at least for once. Her channel is called "OML Ivana ". She makes funny videos.

this song is so powerful and so is their friendship. Seeing Arthur die was one of the hardest things for me to see in television, but how else was it going to end? Merlin and his friendship was the most powerful thing i have ever see and this video captured it perfectly! BRAVO

Oh God, what have you done to me? You just stole my heart. It hurt like hell and it was worth every painful, heartbreaking, bittersweet second to see this beauty. i was bawling before the chorus even began. That's how blown away I was.
It's got to be comparable to some kind of religious experiance, because I saw these characters in a whole new light after. I wish I had a favourite favourites list, because favoriting isn't enough. I want to keep it near me always so I can watch it whenever.

Yet here I am having watched the entire show just recently looking for fanvids and even considering finfiction. Whatever the reasons for my state of mind so way outside the target audience the show and especially these two actors did a great job.
At first, I didn't think the song was appropriate but watching through it, it really does fit Merlin and Arthur. Merlin raise Arthur to more than he can be. This is an amazing video and it brought so much feels to my poor poor heart. :))

You know, I like to think that I'm over the finale...after all, it's been like four months since my heart was ripped out. But this...oh my God, this absolutely destroyed me. It was so tragically beautiful and wrapped up the emotional side of Merlin & Arthur's relationship so well. If I wasn't crying just by listening to the lyrics put to images of these two, I definitely was with the quotes. Absolutely fantastic job.

Merlin's nicknames expressing his affection, his amusement were for everyone to understand his love for Arthur. It is only at the end Arthur acknowledged his sexuality, his love for Merlin, and Merlin's devotion and love. A tragedy of modern times.

When I first saw the ending of Merlin I did not believe that Arthur had to die because I knew that the show follows the Arthurian legends so I looked up the death of Arthur and it did happen in the stories which I think that the writers had went above and beyond to end a great show and it was a great ending to
