It's not amazing if you look attentively. While one of them is constantly and selflessly saving another's life, the other one is constantly mocking/bullying the first one, even in the last season. And it's not just innocent teasing / friendly cursing like it oftentimes happens between good friends. Merlin does get a lot of unpleasant treatment, dirty work and (usually) no protection when others decide to bully him too. Not the most health relationship, tbh.

In skirmishes he constantly checks whether Merlin is safe. You can't blame Arthur for Merlin successfully playing the 'bumbling buffoon who can't find his own backside most of the time'. Arthur allows Merlin to speak to him like an equal but you can't expect to treat him like one 100% of the time.

i thought I would be over them, but now I have started watching this videos again.And it hurts so much I still miss them.Never ever has tv show catched me that hard. I will always miss them, it was just one of the most powerful series that have ever been made.Love all Merlin-Fans! Never forget!
