  • This video shows how the PODs storage container is delivered and positioned on our driveway. Three years ago we moved from Aurora, Colorado to Las Vegas, NV and we used the PODs service. They dropped the container off at our apartment in Aurora and left it there for 2 weeks for us to pack. If I remember correctly it took the PODs driver 3 days to get to our new home in Las Vegas.

    Be sure you tell them to load door facing cab or facing back of truck. Especially if you're in a tight spot. My drop off for unloading was a nightmare! All because the door was facing back of truck, so he couldnt back up to the spot and unload. There wasnt enough room to turn podzilla, so he had to put it half way up the driveway, blocking our access to parking. No call or email the night before pick up (today) no answer at customer service, checked email this morning, nothing. Logged in to my pods account and NOW it says 9 -12 today. It said nothing at 11 pm last night!!! Someone has to be here because of the parking situation. Anyway, its not ALWAYS smooth.

      Thanks for mentioning that. I also have a tight location and having the door toward the front of the truck would be ideal. thanks.

    I presently live in Brooklyn N.Y. on a street with no driveway. Can I still use a POD? My new home has a driveway however. Where would I have it dropped off to be loaded up for transport to my new home.

    • @Avionyx
      @Avionyx  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When we did this move, we were currently living in a townhouse apartment. So they parked it on the side of the main road, so we had to walk like 120-150 feet from our door to the POD to load everything up.

      concrete or asphalt at least here in canada, if we place on grass or anything soft it becomes impossible sometimes to pick it back up if you get heavy rains or snow...

  • @takingafatdump

    honestly in a situation like this, that whole contraption is super unnecessary. just back the truck and drop it off the back like how they do those massive garbage bins

    • @venomenace
      @venomenace 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Probably not the best option for a number of reasons but the main one would be the angle of the driveway.. if they used a roll-off the end of the truck ramp would most likely scrape the hell out of the driveway or the road on exit and in a neighborhood like what is shown here (pretty nice houses) that's not something you want to deal with.
