    Welcome to 'VEX Isn't Scary'! This is a beginner tutorial series for learning to code in Houdini using VEX and is a companion series to the 'Houdini Isn't Scary' tutorial series. No prior understanding of coding or VEX concepts is necessary. Everything from variables to if-statements to functions are explained in this series. By the end of the series, you will be able to code in Houdini and have some carry over knowledge into other coding languages. Let's dive right in!

    Greatest intro to programming ever. Not only useful for vex, but for almost every other language.

    I’ve NEVER coded and I was so worried that it would add to the learning curve, and additionally every other tutorial on VEX assumes previous experience with coding. You’ve eased my anxiety. So essentially you’re my favorite person right now.

    Once you're done with this, try Junichiro Horikawa's 26 part series VEX for Algorithmic Design. It's excellent.

    Is there a way to enter the rgb all on one line?
    v@Cd = (1,0,0); This works kind of but adds 0 to all spots and does not add 1 to the RGB slot.
    EDIT: They answer this in next video.
    It's set with the set command v@Cd = set(0,1,0);
