    Sir, you make one of the BEST EQ demos I've seen! Top 3 on TH-cam. Can't wait to watch your demo on the Maselec Compressor. Cheers!

    6300 bucks only, perfect for my low-budget home studio ;-) well, this eq is a beast with no doubt, but don't forget that the recording is already amazing and mixed perfectly (for my ears)! and the eq does what it's made for: polishing a great mix.

    I really wish more reviewers would shut up and get to the gear demo. This is the way to do it! Sounds great and no wonder why its in top notch studios everywhere.

    0 artefacts. Unbelievably clean and powerful. Ying to the Curve Benders Yang.

      Wrong! You cannot hear it because of your monitoring system is unable to detect it at low level around low-mid frequencies. Just take a listen whenever there is a sweep between two center frequencies.

    Is there a plugin version?

    This is a very quiet eq. I do believe that if you have a Neve console eq, you can cut this guy out. Not trying to say this eq is not worth it. It is quiet, but I prefer to use the eq on the channel input rather than after the fact. That’s just me! Good video for showing what this guy can do! Neve up front cuts the need of additional processing in my opinion. It is cleaner!

      how do you deal with recall when a client asks for a revision?

    Amazing detail on the high end. Absolutley no artifacts

  • @jesua301
    @jesua301 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Good. But all this can be achieved with cheaper plugins. Just use the ear.

    • @jimdough2018

      You wish.

    • @jesua301
      @jesua301 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm doing it. Not just wish to do it. It is not about equipment, it is about ear and engeneer.

    • @Doctormix

      Hi, of course the engineer is more important than the tools he uses. However, maybe there's a reason why the best engineers like to use the best tools. ;)

    • @jesua301
      @jesua301 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Doctor Mix I agree. I'm saying this because some people May think that they can not make great mix without expecive equipment. It is not true. I heard a lot of avarage mixes with great equipment and very good mixes with alot cheaper plugins.

    • @jimdough2018
      @jimdough2018 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      All true. But those last 10-30% I cannot achieve with plugins as of now, I tried hard.
      It's like a sonic barrier. Many people experience and experienced that barrier. How I wish I could, though, wouldn't mean sardines for dinner.

    there's a big jump in level after the EQ, when gain matched it's much less impressive

    I actually don't like the sound at all. Makes the drums sound like plastic
