Ford Performance Blue does not require a tinted clear.

Why not show the edge to edge on the fender/hood at the other side? And the panel edges op close?
The intention of the video was to demonstrate the process and technique involved for repairing colours that utilise a tinted clear. The colour match obtained was shown on the bumper.

Hi, thanks for asking. In this case the first product applied was the Color Blend to help with the basecoat transition and to provide a smooth uniform substate over which to apply the subsequent tinted/non-tinted clear.
How much base coat did your use to tint the clear coat....is there a rule of thumb...
I guess you hope you dont ... develop a run with tinted clears
Hi, with these special colours there will be a formuation available on our software for both the basecoat and the tinted clear so I would advise to follow these formulations rather than trying to do by yourself. The clearcoat additives are not basecoat they concentrated tints.
