Ive got a 2019 berlingo both The power wires are ground. Think I've a short only can low has activity not can +,,? Does the the sensor get it battery voltage from ecm? Can't see owt obvious but there's no power going to it. Hard fsult says no comms on CAN to noX sensor,??
Hi Ritchie, if you don’t have any power getting to it, then it can’t communicate. So that will have to be resolved first. I’ll try get a look at wiring diagrams later 👍
Always applied this method with testing nox sensors and works a treat. Although recently came across a mercedes vito with a 5 wire nox sensor. With no wiring diagram to hand i was confused as to what the 5th wire from the vehicle side harness could be for?
Good test procedure but the power and ground are good and the can message was fine ,then why change the sensor ???? I would straight away check the dpi vaporiser for blockage as this would definitely set a nox fault
Hi Alan, I had looked at that prior & the Nox sensors on these are known to fail regularly. So I pulled the trigger and went with it. Luckily the vehicle is repaired 2 years now with no reoccurring issues 😉👍👍👍
Just to add I also have pid misfire readings that seem off. Is p2202 related to the electrical side or could this just be the nox sooting up because of a bad injector
I do not get it, so what was the issue? There was no issues with supply voltage and CAN readings were fine but solution was to change the sensor? I am getting P2202 from time to time, i guess i need to check wiring or try to clean contacts first if it really has to do with the supply voltage not the Nox module internal circuits.
Yes, your statement is correct. There is no issue with power , ground or CAN communication wiring. So as the scantool pointed out , the fault was in the NOX sensor itself. It seems to be a very common fault on Citroen/Peugeot so you may just have the same issue. Hopefully this will help 🤞👍
@@kennedysgarage3281 No luck cleaning it. Sensor looks very clean even efate 160kkm. I will bring car to the dealer to diagnose, although i am out of warranty i know Mercedes do replace them for free in some cases. OM MB sensor cost 620EUR.
@@montepaso it is going to be the Nox sensor at fault they fail very prematurely. The car I done this video on had only 10,000 kms on it. But it would be interesting to see if there is warranty or a recall on them 🤔
I've had good luck cleaning these in an ultrasonic Peter, using injector cleaner as the fluid. They get bunged up - can save a fair few bob/long waits for parts. I also need to stop calling these knock sensors (because the price often knocks ya kicking :_) and use the posh name not the slang.
@@kennedysgarage3281 Has worked on about 9 out of 10 so far Peter - the odd one the module at the end of the wires is stuffed or the sensor is really melted, so no go - but in the main it works on the day to day ones. Works absolute wonders on DPF fuel injectors & on injectors themselves too.. There's always something bubbling away in the ultrasonic here - great bit of kit. Pays for itself very fast.,
@@kennedysgarage3281 I nicked mine off the Missus - she does jewelry - it's not even very big or fancy, but it does get the crap out of nooks & crannies. What fluid you use in it matters more than what machine it is - I use injector cleaner with a big dose of tar remover sprayed in. Between the bubbles & the chemicals, it works wonders. She has half a dozen for her gig so she barely noticed 1 going missing. Kinda..
Nice to see the load testing. Too many skip it and just go with the meter reading assuming its always good.

What is a dpi vapouriser as I have done these tests plus changed the nox sensor but still same issue on a citeran relay. Thanks in advance

Hi! Do you need to do some programming or reset when exchanging the NOX sensor on a Berlingo BluHDI?
No programming just a relearn with your scanner. Other than that just plug and play 👍👍
