1:34 - Being submissive when 12 other people like a logo and you don't example.
I'm sure you mean well Nate, but when you are outspoken by 12 to one its called democracy, not submissive thinking.
If you don't agree, nothing will change their decision. You then have to put in balance what YOU gain by telling them that IN YOUR MIND (Subjectively) they have made the wrong decision.
If you just say "Oh what the heck", then your decision is simply not to let these people benefit from your better judgement, expertise and to learn from it.
Just let THEM dig their hole.
Im not going any farther in this video.
PS: next look after the beard phase is short or close-cut hair .
      Experience never fails one ...

Hi Nate! You are not *INTJ* for sure! I live in _Switzerland_ in Basel in the area of Carl Jung who developed this theory of personality types. It is great and I was researching it for the last 5 years. However, the way to define the type is not always accurate when you use online questionaries or try to base it on your behaviour (which is very individual). Please get in touch to find out why you are an *INTP* (Mastermind) and what does it really mean (not from behavioural perspective but rather the way your brain processes information). Reliable way to define a type is to analyse semantics (the words) you use in your speech as a representative of information you naturally pay attention to. Another way (yet experimental) is using portable electroencephalograph. It is mind blowing! I am creating a community for people like you and me to be able to find deep and meaningful connections.

    1. Not speaking my mind - not being honest e.g. in a meeting with 12 people and they all agree on something. Many people fall into 'group think' where you decide to be submissive and not disagree, even if you did. But maybe not everybody liked the thing but just went with it. Be bold, be honest and speak up even if you think it might get a bad reaction. E.g. 2 Don't focus only on building your friends up - also give constructive help and be honest if you think somebody is doing something right. Don't just tell people what they want to hear. But don't be stupid though, sometimes you should just be nice (e.g. on a date)
    2. Don't be too afraid to invest in things you're confident in - only if you've spent time analysing it
    3. Losing genuine people - 1 in 20 people will genuinely be interested in you, your wellbeing and care about how you are doing. You'll have lots of shallow friendships where you just enjoy hanging out with them or doing certain activities. Then you'll have some friends who you can go deeper with and who will genuienly support you. Nurture those relationships even if frictions emerge - just phone them and actively keep in touch. Make sure you have genuine people in your life.
    4. Avoiding public speaking. People are more scared of public speaking than death. But you shouldn't ever shy away from things because you're scared - lean into the fear and overcome it and you never know what doors it will open. How to get better and calmer with it? If you can have a conversation, you can talk to a group of 5 people. If you can do that, you can talk in front of 10 people. And so on until you get used to having lots of people hear what you have to say. And more importantly, prepare and practise what you want to say.
    5. Be authentic to yourself and your personality. You can make larger changes over a long period of time but only small changes in the short-term

Hi Nate! I totally agree on the part of genuine friends! A good genuine friend will always be there for you without any second thoughts. you would feel very comfortable sharing your true deep down stories with them. Everyone got an Extrovert and introvert side. For Introverts, they are Extroverts to people they trust more. For Extroverts, likewise. For Extroverts when you are more comfortable with the person you will tend to listen to the person more and provide advice or help. For Introverts, you will share more about yourself to seek advice and opinion. Don't mind people who force you to do things you don't like, be with those that can support you and not sway you! Those are your genuine friends

Once again this video is unique and gives actual helpful information. I appreciate people that speak their mind especially when their unpopular opinions are presented in a a logical and respectful way. That is something I really need to work on. I know people that think their way of thinking is the only way and are not open to a discussion or debate with someone that doesn't think like them. On a side note, my kid lived in her truck for a little while while traveling and it was so impressive they way she set it up and even had a comfortable bed with storage under in the truck bed. The pictures you posted with your truck reminded me a little of her set up.

I attempted to be more extroverted a few years ago, as well. I was in my final years of college and president of an organization on campus. It was weird to have people know my name and have heard me speak before I knew who they were. Different from everything I had ever experienced in my introverted life. When I graduated I felt closer to a much larger group of people than I ever would have had I been my normal introverted self. It was such a different experience to say goodbye to people I didn't know extremely well at the end of the day, but still felt close to. I appreciated that part of the experience. Still, I am a huge introvert at the end of the day (INFJ now, was an INTJ the very first time I took the test). I decided it's better to be myself and appreciate what comes from that.

At my 22 years old, I try not to regret upon everything in my life. Yes, I am an introvert (INTP) and it makes me so different with other people. The way of my thinking is just, they don’t get it. I am too visioner. Yet, here I am, have reached the supervisor level at the company that I work for just a month before my 23 birthday. While all of my friends are just starting to work at that age.

I'm a decent speaker today but I didn't start this way. Years ago my director pulled me aside after I filled in for a colleague who was stuck in traffic. (Zoom fixes this problem.) He told me I was pretty bad and recommended I visit a Toastmasters meeting. I resisted for a long time but eventually visited and liked it. I still hate speaking in front of others but I'm getting better.

I’m so guilty of dabbling in investments personally as well. One of the tricks I used to combat this is that I gave myself the rule that if I ever buy any position, it has to at least be 1% of my portfolio. That way if it goes up the gain will actually make a dent in my portfolio. Great Video!
