Join us this week as we discuss the upcoming BLs we're looking forward to & which previously announced BLs we're sending a search party out for to find out what happened to them. We're also going through our predictions for what we'll see from the BL genre in 2024 - from the rise of problematic themes to a possible return of old faves...
2023 was a massive year for BL and we believe that 2024 will be an even bigger year for our favorite genre!

- Excited for the variety of fantasy shows! A BL merman show? Hell yes 👍
- As much as I do want a serious, brooding vampire BL (Boss was great casting for that btw!), I would seriously love to see a comedy vampire BL with a very silly, self aware humor (Man Who Defies the World of BL, What We Do in the Shadows, Our Flag Means, etc).
- Bring on The Next Prince!
- Love Upon a Time is one that I’m anticipating the most! Since it’s a rom comedy, I hope it will be enough of a departure from I Feel You Linger in the Air.
- Speaking of I Feel You Linger in the Air… does anyone know if the special episode ever aired? Maybe it’s just not available on streaming platforms?
Yes to everything you said! I’m here for the campy and comedy vampires 10000%!! As for the IFYLITA special, as of right now, they’ve only done a one night theater showing back in December. At the show, producers said they were trying to work out a platform for the special EP but it’s been almost a month and no update 😭 I think the co-producers, YYDS, are making it more complicated for them compared to past Dee Hup House productions… I hope we’ll get it soooon
Watching this in April 2024 and the first show you mention is Love Upon a Time and NetJames 😫😭

I don't know how good it's going to be, but I'm interested to see Let Me into Your Heart, the one about likay performers. I think most inter fans who watch Thai BLs don't know much about Thai culture outside of the Y bubble, so I'm excited for this representation. Plus, they've cast some really talented performers/singers.

I have to disagree that the other countries dropped the ball last year, the eighth sense was great and my beautiful man 2 and the movie was sooo good. Anyways my hot take is that there will not be a Semantic Error season 2, the actors are probably moving past bl which is a trends sadly in korea. However in j-bl land I think there will be a my personal weatherman season 2 👀

What OST is that? I listened to the one by Parkmalody and the one by Ingkho and neither has that lyric 🤔
It's in the Parkmalody OST. One of the first lyrics is talking about being not tall, not fair (pale) and not handsome like everyone else. So it wasn't an exact translation but the gist of the song is you still love me even though I'm not these things which is what Kayla was referencing when talking about it
