Did you mean Ryan said the year is aimed at the US market or that the alpha is aimed at the US market? In the case of the former, I'd want to understand how that fits what new Blaze has/will offer in 2024.

We're approching "Videogame-crash" levels of Over-saturation in the market. They're releasing SOOOOO many games that customer market simply can't play them all. All the stats & data claim most gamers are consistantly playing older games, remasters, and what not. While only like 7% of the gamer audiance is all-in on the New stuff. So you've got TONS of new games being made, all competing for that 7% audiance. Many are bound to FAIL from the numbers game alone. Just sayin'.
Ed, you made mention that the guys from Evercade no longer participate on the podcast anymore but seem to have forgotten what happen to cause this ? Think back to the time when Pete went off on a rant. I don't remember if it was either Ryan or Andrew on the show Pete went overboard with his complaints. I watching this and shouting at my screen saying " Pete, Tell Them How You Really Feel ! " As this is going down I'm watching the reactions of you, Crow & Rich as your all turning away from looking directly into your cameras as you knew what was going down. Their are better ways to get a point across in a more diplomatic way but Pete went the complete opposite direction. Now I like Pete and most of the time he's calm & down to earth but on that day he took it way too far. And I believe because of that is to why the guys from Evercade avoid your podcast. Their got their feathers ruffled in front of everyone who watched the video. I always enjoyed Ryan & Andrew coming on the podcast to hear what they had to say but feel the podcast took a hit when they stopped participating on your podcast. Maybe a nice apollogie to Blaze is in order ?
Evercade Needs more publishers involved. Konami, Sega, SNK would be great. But I do think Capcom is done releasing physical media for classic arcade and consoles. Technosoft , Tecmo and Taito carts would be excellent!!
Slow death with tomb raider and Soul reaver ??? Toaplan, Data east arcade, ...dude they're the most expected. And bitmap are some of the best hype. IDK really
Neo Geo is likely not as easy to licence as it used to be even 2 years ago, in 2022 it was bought by Saudi Arabian Misk Foundation and haven’t done much since then. I agree with the type of faves you’d like to see on Evercade. I think the issue is they’re catering to too many tastes. For example 8&16 bit console fans, Arcade fans (both of which cover me) , computer fans, ps1 fans etc
I completely agree that getting Neo Geo games would be a smart move. Most of the licenses out there could be achieved even if SNK was not willing to work with them as a good percentage of the Neo Geo games were created by third parties. I look at what Unico did recently with Visco creating a custom bartop (very similar to Alpha) with 12 Visco games that were all originally Neo Geo games. Getting Visco on board to do 2 arcade carts would be a nice start.
I don't think SNK will ever collaborate with Blaze again. I live in the Netherlands and have a Neo Geo X Gold. This Neo Geo emulation handheld was marketed in Europe by Blaze. Apparently SNK was completely dissatisfied with this collaboration. In addition, Unico regularly markets SNK mini arcade machines and these sell reasonably well. I don't think Unico wants people to be able to buy a cart with Neo Geo games for €20 and play them in all kinds of different ways, including a table top arcade machine. SNK will want to keep Unico happy and already has a bad experience with Blaze. Best next thing would be an Irem 2 cart with Gun Force games on it. Its almost like Metal Slug.
I don't know what happened with your journey with Evercade, but this used to be a nice, little channel to enjoy the latest news and commentary and has become overly negative for now reason at all. While we all understand that no one organization is perfect, to have video titles in this way and continue to put down the hard work of still a relatively small company is odd. If you have lost your passion for Evercade then change the theme of your channel in lieu of being overly negative. Nobody likes negative, and for those of us that do like Evercade will turn to other channels for coverage of that platform.
My channel is still all of those things. This is part of my Evercade journey, the good and the bad. I am overly passionate about Evercade, which is why I made this video to raise awareness. I don't want Blaze to fail, and my hope is that 2025 is much better.
Neo Geo and Konami would be awesome, as would Activision. If those collections would come out, it would feel like the Evercade we fell in love with. Thanks for the video, Ed.
I joined the Evercade family this year through the Super Pockets, which are fantastic. You have a point, but a company that releases all that hardware and software in one year doesn't seem to be dying to me. Maybe the schedule hasn't being the best for people craving new cards. I agree that we need more arcade collections, it's weird that there are not Campcon or Taito cards, only through buying hardware, and of course Konami and others. I suspect that now with the alphas there will be more arcade releases. The Data East 2 collection seems amazing, can't wait.
I stepped away from evercade, but I have been kreping an eye on it to see if it will get to a place I want to jump in. I love the idea of evercade. Howevet it has always seemed a little glitchy with less than stellar execution. I can slso get lots of the evercade games in physical form on the switch and for relatively cheaper per game. All the activity now seems exciting, but I just don't have confidence the Alpha wont somehow be an issue. No local store carries it, so returning/repairig defective carts/hardware is a prohibitive headache. I am still rooting for evercade, but retro Switch physicals and Atari are looking more intetesting.
SNK announced an ACA NeoGeo collection vol.1 & vol.2 for the Switch not so long ago so I don't see why Blaze can't get some NeoGeo games on the Evercade too.
THe UK podcast has mentioned 2025 will be the year of games. 2024 was not slow at all on their side with all the many hardware to go on the market and licencing stuff. cant wait to see you next live. game on!!
First of all, I don’t think Evercade is dying a slow death, I think they have just struggled in marketing and community/communication. Thoughts… When you compare the 2023 to 2024 roadmaps, it’s glaring that 2024 was a down year. Contrary to some commenters it has NOT been a down year in gaming. Many AAA’s have lost touch with their player bases and have chased unprofitable entertainment trends. But people are still spending money on gaming. Lots. That’s probably why Blaze spent money to develop Alphas. But compared to 2020, retro is big. Switch and online offer tons more retro in their respective shops. There is a literal flood of Anbernic, Powkiddy, whatever in the marketplace now. A company like Blaze needs to have constant engagement with their customers through releases so that their player base is satisfied and doesn’t wander too much. A schedule of having 2 carts release every other month or so, addressing different community likes (eg 1 computer/arcade , 1 console) was an excellent strategy that maintained engagement and gave people what they wanted. Showcases were also important. The BIG thing this year should have been Tomb Raider and a line refresh of the EXP/VS plus TATE grip bonus and that’s it…
…sorry, I’m going long… But instead Blaze has now got themselves spread out too much over hardware. EXP, VS, Super Pocket, Alpha… And I think the Alpha is a misread of the American market. They probably have analytics that say arcade type machines are in demand and will sell. And the Alphas are a budget niche in the arcade cabinet space which Blaze tries to fill. But I think when “Americans” say they want more arcade games, I think they mean, we want SNK or a big license that we are nostalgic for. Not Gaelco or Piko or Technos droppings. That’s a misreading of marketing. And I have to agree with Crow from a few podcasts ago…Evercade is approaching the point of needing to do a hardware refresh. It’s just time in order to keep pace with the retro market now. Not just a tweak like the R’s. And Blaze already has EXP, VS, Super Pocket, Alphas…that’s a lot to keep up with for both company and customer.
@@Evercade_Effect I feel like I’m also a very passionate Evercadian. I fell off after my second EXP crashed and burned. Before I was an early 2020 adopter and had all collections and hardware. But was so upset about the EXP that I sold everything but my OG and about 10 carts. I love the concept of Evercade though and the original mission of tangible, unique retro experiences. I am excited for the EXP-R and am slowly starting to get back into it. I’ve been watching your channel and I enjoy your passion for this brand/hobby. So keep up the good work!
This year has been a big old meh for me. At least we got a couple purple carts in the end. Honestly I wonder if they're just sort of running out of options or something?
Everdelays is what's killing Evercade at the moment. We're two months down the line and I'm still waiting on my VS-R. Amazon are actually fulfilling the order by getting stock from Germany and selling it through Amazon UK! You really couldn't write this stuff. I agree that Blaze needs a couple of bangers like a NeoGeo Arcade and Konami Console Collection to stay relevant. Keep up the awesome work!
@anniepiranha5079 Ironically I got a copy of Tomb Raider at my local retailers the day after release and now I'm going to have two copies with the VS-R pack-in game.
so im thinking with myself if evercade is the thing to dip into the old games i missed (because i was not a big gamer when i was very young) so for hardware i think its very sweet, that you can play all this games on different devices... consol, arcade, mobile device. the only thing i miss with the alpha, that they didnt make a full scale arcade... im not sure how close you get to the real feeling with the alpha. for games... i cant say if the selection is good or not, but i have the feeling as long you get like 4 releases every year (or more) you can be happy (?) And my question to all here: is it worth get into everscade or is there a better way to get into retro gaming?
Ed I think you are hitting the nail on the head here. Maybe with the Alphas and Superpockets Blaze was hoping to draw in new customers but as a new customer would you be impressed after delays on pretty much all products? I've heard they're focused on games for next year and I don't think it's too much to hope that next year is a steady stream of interesting carts. We'll see.
I just got back into retro gaming and just picked up the VS Premium Pack and I'm really digging it so far! But I'm mainly commenting to say that if they started releasing Neo Geo games I'd definitely prioritize getting those over everything else. Fingers crossed on that!
I agree on the delays. I do think delays and bricked carts has been their biggest issue because you need a certain amount of confidence to build up excitement. Also with so many things competing for attention when something gets delayed like Tomb Raider it kills the excitement a bit. Forge when the iron is hot and all that. That’s why I’m excited for 2025 though as even if not fully fixed they have at least adressed the cartissue and making changes which is great. I’m just hoping for less delay and more spread of carts next year. I really want to feel like I have time to enjoy the two I have just got before the next ones arrived in mail. I haven’t even played Tomb Raider yet because they were late so I got Legacy of Kain right after! Where i don’t agree is on the actual carts and licenses. And I love love the computer carts. In general arcade make me the least excited, but I love them all. I think with the latest announcement we have a perfect blend of indie, retro, chunky indie, smaller indie games, deep strategy, easy to pick up and play games, long playstation, shorter games.. Exactly what I want from them really. Hopefully next year gives us a good spread and many lovely experiences 🤗
Thanks for sharing and glad you're enjoying the computer carts. I forgot about the bricked carts which doesn't help and not happy about the EverDelays.
I’m happy with what has been released this year but Blaze need to space the carts out better, hardly anything for the first 7 months and then too many for the rest of the year
Oh and it’s worth noting I have zero computer nostalgia apart from Commander Keen, tetris, asteroids and a ski game. They require a bit more effort for me to get into, but I really love the easy access to a library of games it’s really hard to experience otherwise.
I guess I'm lucky in that nothing has failed on me this far. I only have a few 2024 carts but they're all decent (BB2) to amazing (LoK). I'm fine with this year because there are hundreds of older titles I still have to enjoy. Picked up a Super Pocket and it's helped me get through the MULTIPLE car repairs I've had to get done this year.
Yes we need neo geo. Ive been saying this since they started releasing arcade carts. Im still longing for more fighting games because the vs controller is almost perfect for it.
I picked up the Taito SP back in Jan and got hooked so ended up getting a VS. Apart from the occasional deviation I've mainly been grabbing the arcade carts. Of course the problem here is that they've dried up pretty quick! I'm not touching the Gaelco ones with a bargepole and there's only Toaplan 3 on the horizon (Batsugun though!). I know you "can't please all the people all of the time" etc. but I do wish Blaze would publish their roadmap a little earlier to keep us interested.
Personally i wish Blaze would concentrate far more on newer indie games like Life on Mars and Full Void. I dont understand the nostalgia for the computer carts. I grew up playing 2600 games and have very little to no desire to play them again. The C64 carts are no different, terrible graphics, sound and controls. Other than that theyre fantastic 😂. There are SO MANY greats new indie titles with new experiences that aren't just shovel ware and would reinvigorate the system like Astebros.
Not the biggest channel, but one with real good music 😎 You're right about the Kane cartridges, I would have preferred it earlier and I would have bought it, now it has to wait. In my opinion, if they want to have a bigger success, they need to break out of the collectors market. It made them successful so far, but now it slows them down. They should relicense games that players want, maybe on their other brand name (the Gameboy clone, I always forget the name), without a number and as single or double game cartridge. In a market with so many good "pirate" consoles, they should focus on good indie games for a second income. And they should sell the hardware (Gameboy ..) in stores including the cartridges. Additionally they should do some marketing now while the “ you do not own the game you buy"discussion is fresh. Of course I agree with you on the games you mentioned and that they should sell the hardware cheaper without games on the actual hardware. I like your channel, loving forward to the next video and your response.
They’re not moving away from carts, every hardware launch has had a cart slot. The alpha still has 2 slots and the functionality carts bring to evercade. Maybe they’re paving the way with the bartop and pocket for a snk release, that stuff is right up their street. Who knows.
Another thing. Sorry I’m writing as I listen 😂 One thing I feel like is easy money (although I have no leg in the industry so no idea really), are colored handhelds. Like not grey like EXP-R, but something like green, blue, purple etc. Even with EXP out I still get so many questions about my Purple Limited. People still want it!
I have some of the same concerns about Evercade because I really like what they are doing. This year did feel a bit messy but it may not be their fault. You could make the case that it was a big year because of all the large IP's. I agree 2025 I hope will concentrate a more releases. On a side note, I think I may need to upgrade my original handheld, the HDMI gets twitchy when playing games like Z with those big loading delays, it literally crashes. Oh well!
What about Sega arcade carts? What about final fantasy or chrono trigger card? Neo geo arcade carts…….. why not the upcoming suikoden 1 and 2 collection on evercade?
I bought my first Evercade system the Tomb Raider VS-R bundle so I’m a little late to the party but while there’s still a lot of classic games they can tap into and release I sure do wish they’d re-release what looks to be out of production titles. Yeah I’m late but just saying
All official retro boxes begin a slow death from the very start cause the options to mass licencing will be very difficult to maintain. This is not new news but a realisation that should have been present from the start.
@@Evercade_Effect It is a FPS from the Doom era that was just one large level filled with ghosts that advance the plot and help you understand what's happening and why. A fun game many missed on the 3DO.
I don't think it was even remotely possible for them to release LoK earlier, even if the carts were ready (and they probably weren't) but they couldn't even announce it until the other legacy of kain related projects were announced like the remasters and comic series.
Hard to say imo. The Alpha could make or break them possibly. They claim to have some things planned for 2025, pivotal year for them. You would hope by now they have enough revenue coming in to make improvements. Disappointed by the VS-R not having a C charging port. Just a different colored VS. I have 4 carts coming, then I'm done with 37 carts.
I agree with a lot you have said especially that they need to focus on the carts/games enough with the hardware just fine tune what they have out there. When it comes to the games focus more on giving us playable games that are compatible with the hardware not that require a mouse and keyboard to really play the game.
No, but videos that say it is. Will scare people off from buying for it and cause it too. The months they released nothing is also a very quiet period in gaming anyway. Releasing nov/Dec will of course grab people for xmas
@Evercade_Effect people who might be considering buying an evercade for the first time, night be watching this and others like it to get an understanding of evercade. Saying it might be coming to an end. If someone is going by the videos, of course would be put off.
@the_casualgam3r I think people are smart enough to make an educated decision. My video is to raise awareness as I have been talking about these topics for a while now. I felt it deserved its own dedicated video.
I'm in the U.S and I FINALLY got my Tomb Raider Evercade VS-R yesterday from Amazon on October 30th.... two months late. Amazon almost cancelled the pre-order on me about three weeks ago. What happened was that I was checking my past orders and on the third or fourth page of my orders, there was a message on top asking me to reconfirm my Evercade pre-order. I had to click on something where I agreed to keep the pre-order. If I didn't reconfirm the pre-order they would have auto-cancelled it after a certain amount of time. If you pre-ordered from Amazon, double check your past orders (and make sure to go a few pages deep into it, just in case. Again, the message didn't pop up at the top until page three or four). I heard from someone else that they also send e-mails about the reconfirming thing, but I didn't get an e-mail (at least not one I could find).
Tastes differ. I think this year is much better than last year. I'm fed up with Home computer carts, Indie heroes, Piko or carts with all kinds of 8 bit platformers. I want carts with quality instead of quantity. Arcade carts, Indie carts with 2 good games instead of 6 mediocre games. I'm happy with the Tombraider and Legacy of Kain carts. I'm already looking forward to Metal Dragon and the Toadplan Carts for example. It's not that 2023 didn't have any good carts at all. Ful Void is typically a cart that I really like and that also applies to Demons of Asterborg and Good boy Galaxy, for example. Duke Nukem 1 and Sunsoft 1 were also nice. But we've only had one arcade cart and it was the worst arcade cart we've had yet. Also a lot of Home Computer nonsense. And Indie Heroes that I have no interest in.
I love you Ed but this year they had some big releases and hardware. Unless we see year on year cart sales comparisons hard to say they are dying a slow death. Hype is subjective and we don’t know what 2025 looks like. Need to put personal preferences aside and ask what were the actual sales (we don’t know) and did the community grow or shrink in 2024 - I think it actually grew.
I love you too, man. 😆 Blaze doesn't relase numbers, but I wish they would. The only number we know is a million carts. We can disagree, which is fine. 😀
I think you’re not alone in thinking this way Ed. 🤔. Definitely the “Evercade-delays” and Blaze distraction of focusing on the Alpha. Combined with their branching HYPERMEGA TECH separate company. Has really delayed any focused energy! For what should be the Evercade! 🤔. It needs to get back to delivering the carts that we want, or that are at least “Bangers!” As you like to say! 👍. I mean it should all be about the Physical media! A great idea I think should still be to have SINGLE cart games! Perhaps not all. But the BEST from each collection. They could call it the GOLD collection. This would fall in line with the old way of buying games that you want. Plus they would ALL be winners, and sell MORE! 😊. They now showcase this idea as part of their Library on the System. So why not go one step further to get “Just the games you want” as well? Certainly I think this would quite the “Filler” games issue that Blaze has with collections?! 🤔. On a last note. The reason why there is no Neo Geo. Is that there is NO “Ed Effect in it” 😂. If you remove the Ed from it: E. Then all that is left from NEO GEO. Is NO GO! 🤔😔. It says a-lot. They need YOU on their team to push it! 😁. But they NEED to have it. Like they need to cover EVERY game company on them, to make them GREAT again! 🤔😊👍
Thanks for your support! I agree 100% that single game carts would all be bangers, sell well, and would be even more nostalgic. I think that Full Void proved that single game carts can do well.
I LOVE the concept of Evercade, what’s held me back is the games library. It’s a lot of shovelware from what I’ve seen. Where are the arcade ROMs of the massive classic hits from the 80s-90s? I haven’t seen Ms Pac-Man, Robotron, Qbert, Burger-Time, Joust, Frogger, Donkey Kong, Spy-Hunter, TMNT, The Simpsons, X-Men, Mortal Kombat, NBA Jam. I haven’t seen the classic Activision games, Konami, NEO-GEO, Sega, etc. I love physical media, I love the platform, the concept, full color manuals, etc. I love the handhelds, the console, the bar top arcade cabinets. But I just don’t see the games I want to play on the platform. I’m willing to pay for licensed ROMs for games I want to play.
I think for 2025 they should take a break from hardware with the one exception of being an official wireless one, put out some more Arcade and for godsake get some TG16/CD and NeoGeo games in the library
Yes! The VS-R if you want to play on your TV or EXP-R is you're a handheld gamer. If you're looking for an ultra portable that's cheaper, check out the Super Pockets.
make a banjo kazooie collection, microsoft dont cares anyway about banjo and has no plans with it so its the time for a collection with banjo kazooie, banjo kazooie gruntys revenge and banjo tooie, this games will keep us on the chair for long long times insteád of this shovelware like...glover.
I guess people are always going to find things to complain about. Blaze has come a long way. neo geo all that stuff is easily emulated so if you want to play it emulate it. licenses aren't exactly cheap.
@@Evercade_Effect you said you mean like me...I'm not sure what you meant by that. I wasn't trying to start anything i was just making a point that I think Blaze has come a long way and has improved, but I guess not all people see it that way. I wasnt trying to take a shot at you so if it came across like that I apologize.
Honest opinion? No, but, ilineups are fairly spread across the board. Unless, you want them to mix and match selections for variety. I'm cool with it so far.
I promise you that I didn't and had no reason to. I know that Emortal wasn't able to post in web browser and had to post in the YT app. I believe the same thing may have happened to you last night.
Other than Tomb Raider and Legacy Of Kain , this year has been pretty meh so far , there's so many quality retro games out there but to get the licences will cost major money and i don't think blaze will be prepared to pay it .
Very poor system the Evercade, much better options are out there - Mister FPGA, Analogue Poclet, Funny Playing Game Boy FPGA, Zega Game Gear, The C64, Atari 7800 Plus remake, Amiga Mini, The Spectrum and many more not mention is way more games available for these systems. Cartridges for the Evercade are a joke
I think you need to look up gimmick in the dictionary as you're not using it correctly. Emulation isn't a gimmick. A lot of modern gaming devices use it. Hell even Nintendo does for their retro games.
@jordansullivan7290 Educate yourself by watching this video where I explain who Evercade is for. th-cam.com/video/3Ggw31xNzVg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=g28egbg2eN51RV-E
They really need to get some Sega, SNK, Capcom, and Konami stuff in there.
Totally! 😃

Let's hope that's the case.
The entire videogame industry is having a down year. 2024 has been pretty forgettable game wise in addition to all the layoffs
Very sad that this all has taken place.
I swear that the are just making it harder and harder for us to care about newer stuff.

I've been really happy with this year's releases.
That's awsome!
Me too for this what it is
yes especially when they stop the delays for this year
If they really want to sell units they need classic RPGs.
I would totally welcome more RPGs to the platform.
I'm hoping next year as more of a focus on curating good collections.
Dude, that would be epic! 😀
An Irem 2 cart would be fantastic! Neo Geo has had a new CEO since then, so maybe it's water under the bridge or maybe not.
I think Blaze may have burnt their bridges with SNK after the Neo Geo Gold. So I don't see it happening.
That would be a damn shame.
Yep, this is my thought as well. Shame since they could have something kind of special with Alpha and MVS inspired mini carts.
@jeremy__hopkins 👍
@@Evercade_Effect Here's to a much better 2025 than 2024! Cheers!
@DES-95 😃
If anything it's getting bigger and better games are being released
Let's hope so!
Neo Geo and Konami would be awesome, as would Activision. If those collections would come out, it would feel like the Evercade we fell in love with. Thanks for the video, Ed.
Hells Yeah, my friend! As always thanks for your support. 😀
I am hoping next year is a big focus on arcade and dual carts.
😉
SNK announced an ACA NeoGeo collection vol.1 & vol.2 for the Switch not so long ago so I don't see why Blaze can't get some NeoGeo games on the Evercade too.
Exactly!
THe UK podcast has mentioned 2025 will be the year of games. 2024 was not slow at all on their side with all the many hardware to go on the market and licencing stuff. cant wait to see you next live. game on!!
Thanks man, I really enjoy going live and having out with you all. Let's hope that's true with 2025 being the focus on games.
I want turbografx-16 hucard and cd games.
Since Konami owns the rights to TG16. If we get them, we get TG16 as well.
First of all, I don’t think Evercade is dying a slow death, I think they have just struggled in marketing and community/communication. Thoughts…
When you compare the 2023 to 2024 roadmaps, it’s glaring that 2024 was a down year.
The BIG thing this year should have been Tomb Raider and a line refresh of the EXP/VS plus TATE grip bonus and that’s it…
…sorry, I’m going long…
But instead Blaze has now got themselves spread out too much over hardware.
Well said!
@kevinschoneck224 Thank you so much! 😀
This year has been a big old meh for me. At least we got a couple purple carts in the end. Honestly I wonder if they're just sort of running out of options or something?
It's always good to have you around. Let's hope next year is better.
Thank you so much! This is a video I didn't want to have to make. However, I felt that all these issues can't be ignored.
I'm still waiting for Tomb Raider sheeesh😢
@anniepiranha5079 Ironically I got a copy of Tomb Raider at my local retailers the day after release and now I'm going to have two copies with the VS-R pack-in game.
@anniepiranha5079 That's crazy. They should have got it to you by now.
so im thinking with myself if evercade is the thing to dip into the old games i missed (because i was not a big gamer when i was very young)
so for hardware i think its very sweet, that you can play all this games on different devices... consol, arcade, mobile device.
the only thing i miss with the alpha, that they didnt make a full scale arcade... im not sure how close you get to the real feeling with the alpha.
for games... i cant say if the selection is good or not, but i have the feeling as long you get like 4 releases every year (or more) you can be happy (?)
And my question to all here: is it worth get into everscade or is there a better way to get into retro gaming?
I do both. Evercade for physical carts and Steam Deck for indies and other games.
Switch also have a great retro and neo retro library ;)
Ed I think you are hitting the nail on the head here. Maybe with the Alphas and Superpockets Blaze was hoping to draw in new customers but as a new customer would you be impressed after delays on pretty much all products? I've heard they're focused on games for next year and I don't think it's too much to hope that next year is a steady stream of interesting carts. We'll see.
Good to know I'm not alone and I hope next year is a big game focus.
If Neogeo games are already on so many platforms, I'm not too sure about people wanting to buy them on (yet) another system. I wouldn't.
You can never have enough Neo Geo.
but you will get a pretty colorful manual and cartridge + box and maybe even a poster to decorate the room, its no pdf manual and heartless download.
Other than stuff is being delayed I have zero issues with the releases this year. More or less inline with stuff released last year.
The delays are inexcusable.
I’m a little disappointed they haven’t expanded the feature set such as achievements/online stuff but I know most of you don’t want that stuff
I would personally like that, but they need to focus on games first and not release new hardware so that they could focus in online stuff.
Why people wouldn't want that ? 🤔
@@evok993 just what I read online over the years from evercade fans
@@atarifan80 well they are strange 🤷
It would be awesome for all the arcade games !
@ agreed
I just got back into retro gaming and just picked up the VS Premium Pack and I'm really digging it so far! But I'm mainly commenting to say that if they started releasing Neo Geo games I'd definitely prioritize getting those over everything else. Fingers crossed on that!
Glad you're enjoying it, and Neo Geo is a must!
I’m happy with what has been released this year but Blaze need to space the carts out better, hardly anything for the first 7 months and then too many for the rest of the year
Exactly! 😀
Nice! 😉
Yes we need neo geo. Ive been saying this since they started releasing arcade carts. Im still longing for more fighting games because the vs controller is almost perfect for it.
Oh Yeah!!!!!!
aslong as they mixed the fighting games with metal slugs and bang 2 busters, blues journey and other games/genres and not only fighting ones.
Edcade in the Neo Geo shirt! Oh yeah!
Thanks bud!
Glad you're enjoying the SP and the VS. Exactly, it's not much to ask to keep the roadmap and the hype going.
Exactly! 😀
100% agree
Not the biggest channel, but one with real good music 😎
You're right about the Kane cartridges, I would have preferred it earlier and I would have bought it, now it has to wait.
Thank you, so much!!!
They’re not moving away from carts, every hardware launch has had a cart slot. The alpha still has 2 slots and the functionality carts bring to evercade. Maybe they’re paving the way with the bartop and pocket for a snk release, that stuff is right up their street. Who knows.
Let's hope so.
Another thing. Sorry I’m writing as I listen 😂
One thing I feel like is easy money (although I have no leg in the industry so no idea really), are colored handhelds. Like not grey like EXP-R, but something like green, blue, purple etc. Even with EXP out I still get so many questions about my Purple Limited. People still want it!
Love the comments, keep them coming.
Oh well!
Thanks for the support! 😀
What about Sega arcade carts? What about final fantasy or chrono trigger card? Neo geo arcade carts…….. why not the upcoming suikoden 1 and 2 collection on evercade?
All of that would be fantastic! I'm surprised we have got gotten any 1st party Sega collections.
I bought my first Evercade system the Tomb Raider VS-R bundle so I’m a little late to the party but while there’s still a lot of classic games they can tap into and release I sure do wish they’d re-release what looks to be out of production titles. Yeah I’m late but just saying
Welcome to the Evercade family. 😀
All official retro boxes begin a slow death from the very start cause the options to mass licencing will be very difficult to maintain. This is not new news but a realisation that should have been present from the start.
Not really, and from your comment, it looks like you didn't watch the video.
I'd like to see the unreleased PS1 port of Killing Time on the Evercade.
Not familiar with that title but Evercade is perfect platform for unreleased games.
@@Evercade_Effect It is a FPS from the Doom era that was just one large level filled with ghosts that advance the plot and help you understand what's happening and why. A fun game many missed on the 3DO.
@Blas4ublasphemy Sounds awesome!
I don't think it was even remotely possible for them to release LoK earlier, even if the carts were ready (and they probably weren't) but they couldn't even announce it until the other legacy of kain related projects were announced like the remasters and comic series.
It's hard to say my friend. I'm not kept in the loop and haven't been for a while.
I wait eternal for a Neo Geo cart yes yes 😊
Oh Yeah! 😀
Thank you!
That seems to be a common theme this year, disappointment.
No, but videos that say it is. Will scare people off from buying for it and cause it too.
The months they released nothing is also a very quiet period in gaming anyway.
Releasing nov/Dec will of course grab people for xmas
I don't think it will scare people off. Just trying to raise awareness.
I'm still waiting for them to dispatch my Tomb Raider Evercade, was supposed to be out at the end of August!!!
So sorry you haven't gotten your copy yet. I need to get back into TR1.
I agree, I'm waiting on evercade to port late 80 and 90's games to buy a console
😃
Yep, quality over quantity. 😉
The whole industri is going belly up, sadly it hits everyone on some level
Hopefully next year things turn around.
@ Ed. Forever putting the “E” in Evercade, and also NEO GEO! 😂😊👍❤️
I would live to see a Namco arcade collection!
I think for 2025 they should take a break from hardware with the one exception of being an official wireless one, put out some more Arcade and for godsake get some TG16/CD and NeoGeo games in the library
Agreed and that would be epic!
needs some diffrent collections from other publishers
😃
Do they still make hardware? I know carts still come out. Who sells the hardware?
I gave up buying one.
Yes! The VS-R if you want to play on your TV or EXP-R is you're a handheld gamer. If you're looking for an ultra portable that's cheaper, check out the Super Pockets.
First to watch the full video 🎉😉 yes SNK and LoK Special Edition would have been cool.

make a banjo kazooie collection, microsoft dont cares anyway about banjo and has no plans with it so its the time for a collection with banjo kazooie, banjo kazooie gruntys revenge and banjo tooie, this games will keep us on the chair for long long times insteád of this shovelware like...glover.

Honest opinion? No, but, ilineups are fairly spread across the board. Unless, you want them to mix and match selections for variety. I'm cool with it so far.

Exactly but let's hope that they do.
I have lost a lot of interest in the Evercade. I never use mine any more and cancelled my order for the mini arcade
That's the type of thing that I was afraid might happen.
@ I started doing Evercade videos on TH-cam but have been underwhelmed by most collections
Evercade is not for you, and that's OK. 🤫
Evercade is cool but it’s a gimmick. It’s just emulation
I think you need to look up gimmick in the dictionary as you're not using it correctly. Emulation isn't a gimmick. A lot of modern gaming devices use it. Hell even Nintendo does for their retro games.
@ How is it not a gimmick? You literally can just get the ROMs on a pc and play with Bluetooth or USB. It’s cool but it is definitely a gimmick

Don't think the super pocket is powerful enough to emulate neogeo games.
For sure. It doesn't take much to emulate 2d arcade games, and the Super Pockets can play all the existing arcade carts.
