Nice job and enjoyed the video. One suggestion is you could cut a 1 foot by 2 foot space between the boxes at the bottom then you can walk up closer to the shirt to reduce whatever bending you still need to do. That’s if you can’t raise it more vertically.
Great idea! I’ve also thought about trying to attach some legs to the corners of it. I would definitely like to see it more vertical if possible, but I might have to use a different fabric. Either way, it should really speed things up!!
Josh - great job. Nice to see your wife. I made a foldable flat lay recently out of a large cardboard box and some sherpa fabric from JoAnns fabric. I can fold it up an put it under my bed. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Jeff!! I was glad Casey helped me with it. I may end up switching to the Sherpa fabric eventually. Looks like your family had a blast at Disney!! Casey has been hinting around about going. 😂😂
Great video Josh and Casey!!! This is almost identical to the set up we use, we’ve been using it for probably a year and a half, really the only difference is I cut out a notch in the bottom of ours so I could step into it to be a little closer, don’t have to bend over as much. I notched out about 24 inches wide and maybe 18” deep. It helped me quite a bit with my back and not having to stoop so much.
Thanks buddy and great tip!! I think I’m gonna elevate it to start with. But I might end up notching the bottom like you suggested. I hope I can make it a little more vertical, even if I have to change out the cloth! Casey is awesome, I just can’t get her to fully buy in to helping me with the reselling yet. But I’m working on it!!
Hey Josh! So nice to see you and Casey! I have my materials and am going to build it this weekend! For anyone that is near a Joann's fabrics, they are going out of business. I bought my fabric in both black and white for a great price.
I’m working on getting her more involved. It’s mostly a time issue for her because of the day job right now. And that price floored me too. I also remember buying 7/16 OSB for $5-7 a sheet when I built my house in 2007. I paid almost $30 per sheet for the same thing on the place I built for mom. Crazy!! 🤯
I either need to try this or just quit selling clothes. I rarely list them because I don’t like the headache of it. Also great to see Casey’s lovely face! 😊
You can do it! I was also getting frustrated with the photographing part of clothing, so I think this is really gonna be a huge difference maker. I would like to get Casey in more of the videos but her work schedule makes it hard. Thanks for watching friend!!
Thanks and good luck!! 😂 You might want to go with a light gray Sherpa fabric from what others have told me since doing mine. I think the felt will work, but several have said the Sherpa is better.
white did not work to well for me as it reflected surrounding colors, a light grey i found worked best. i use an artist easel with almost the same set up your using , the easel can adjust to whatever angle i need it. if i had more space i would build a wider contraption of some sort as you will find it hard to do larger sizes , like a triple x size coat. I still use a hanger on this set up for heavy items by attaching a plastic door hanger hook behind the backdrop. I used a cheap 6 dollar throw blanket and some office binder clips to attach it making it easy to change and tighten up when needed. The grey carpet Lowes sells apparently works very well as it will hold garments in place better, have yet to try it but will most likely be my next set up. Lighting is always a challenge, im confident you will figure out what works best for your room.
I didn’t think about possible reflections. Hopefully the felt won’t do that. I do wish it was wider, but I also thought I could put it on its side for wider garments. Trial and error will get us there no doubt!! Thanks for the tips!!
Glad to meet you Casey, Ya'll just good people!! Thank you!!
Thanks so much for the kind words! Casey is awesome for sure!! 😊
Nice to meet Casey!!
Thanks!! She is the best!!!

That’s awesome!!! I always enjoy having Casey in the videos with me. Hopefully I will have more of her in the future.
Awesome vertical lay flat.
I appreciate that!! I think it’s gonna really make things easier for me once I’m used to it.
We need more Casey! Also, I remember when that foam board was around $4/sheet, $44 is crazy!! talk about inflation! Nice work guys, looks great.

That looks great. I might be building something very similar that we can hang on the wall and pull out when we do clothes. Great stuff! Thanks!
Thanks!! Attaching it to the wall is a great idea. I’ve seen some do it that way.
Such a great idea!! I’m gonna get my husband to watch this video and just maybe I can get him to build me one😉

@@BamaJaybirdResell thank you. I’m taking notes🤣. I have muscle spasms in my back so this would really help me!!!
Great idea. Never thought to use foam before.
Thanks brother! I think it’s gonna work pretty good!
Fun video Josh! Never thought of using lightweight materials like that, I may build a similar one.. good job Casey!
Thanks Chris! We had fun with the project. I believe it’s gonna really speed things up for the clothing!
Enjoyed it!!
Thanks buddy!!

Great job. I am just using a white sheet but that slides, so I might use some felt.
Thanks so much!! I think the felt is gonna work pretty well but a lot of folks have been suggesting a light gray Sherpa fabric. Time will tell!! lol!!
