    Thích Nhất Hạnh is a Vietnamese Zen Buddhist monk, teacher, author, poet and peace activist. He lives in the Plum Village Monastery in the Dordogne region in the South of France, travelling internationally to give retreats and talks. He coined the term Engaged Buddhism in his book Vietnam: Lotus in a Sea of Fire. A long-term exile, he was given permission to make his first return trip to Vietnam in 2005. Thich Nhất Hạnh has published more than 100 books, including more than 40 in English. He is active in the peace movement, promoting nonviolent solutions to conflict and he is also refraining from animal product consumption as means of nonviolence towards non-human animals.
    Check out the Plum Village app for more insights, wisdom and guided meditations offered by Thich Nhat Hanh and the monastic sangha: plumvillage.app/

    Now, I have been participating the memorial ceremonies for Thich Nhat Hanh in Plum Village and in Vietnam, Hue, due his passing 22nd January 2022. He is in his transition. I am sure it is pure joy and light for him. I have been looking at the photo of him as a young novice. What an exceptional and extraordinary life he made for himself! He was such a diligent student that he learnt throughout his life, walked his talk and transformed so many people´s lives with his example and his teaching. His example and his teachings aim was and is to make everybody to understand that they can do what he has done. My whole heart and every cell in my body is pure love towards him. What an exceptional young boy he was, what he made out of his experience as a human being. He transformed the whole world.

He is always acting like a monk , but in vn many Vietnamese knew about him. The truth that he has a wife also a monk and 2 childrens living somewhere , he has been acting like this all his life, traveling around the world to hide his identity as a communist reign. Please just look at this stage as his people pretending to take advance of your love . This is a communist life . If you want to know the kind of man that thay is, just look at his two disciples gently sitting behind him and the consistent portrayal of absolute love and peace on their faces and in their demeanor throughout this segment. That is the work of thay, that is the work of Buddha. There is no better high than realization.

He is the gentlest, kindest, most compassionate person I have ever known. I urge those who made mean-spirited comments below to listen again to this dharma talk with an open heart. In the meantime, I send compassion to them that the suffering they feel it necessary to spit out will ameliorate. Namaste.

      I was told to leave a school after 18 years of service for "shoving a student". I have never shoved anyone. This ignites creativity for a book on values and the truth. I decided to have compassion for a system that does not recognize or acknowledge the truth. I know abuse. And, I have experienced scapegoatism more than once; both as a child and as an adult. I choose to use my experience for something good. This world values need rescue.

    It's absolutely the truth what he says about true happiness. And our belief that money and fame gives you happiness causes craving to rise with suffering that we can avoid if we wake up. I try my best to help people around to be more happy and less worried. They stresss so much about the future, money and it steals the joy and happiness.
    Thich Nhat Hanh is the spiritual teacher i follow. His way to explain things is simple yet shares lifechanging wisdom. His books are great and i highly recommend every book from him. It also supports Thich Nhat hanhs community that works to heal people and has desire to gain money beside for essentials

    Constantly chant : Namo Amitabha, Repentance and Dedication of Merit.
    南無阿彌陀佛🙏🙏🙏
    Repentance
    All the unwholesome karma created by me,
    Arising from beginningless greed, hatred and delusion;
    Expressed through greed, hatred and delusion;
    I hereby regret and repent them all.
    Dedication of Merit
    May the merit and virtue accrued from this work adorn Amitabha Buddha 's Pure Land,
    repay the four great kindnesses above, and relieve the suffering of those on the three paths below.
    May those who see or hear of these efforts generate Bodhi-mind,
    spend their lives devoted to the Buddha Dharma ,
    and finally be reborn together in the Land of Ultimate Bliss.

    Very educative. I do research on how Buddhism disappeared in Bihar. I realized it never disappeared from Bihar. Buddhists simply failed to research Indian Buddhism. They looked at Buddhism through the sphere of their own cultures searching for only the Buddha. Buddha had a myriad of names in different villages according to his teachings there. Example. His favorite teaching was 'Lust and desire causes pain. Remove lust and desire, and pain is removed'. Translated into Bihari (where the Buddha story took place) it is DHUKH HARAN meaning to remove dukha. Three dozen villages pray to DUKH HARAN Baba. Its clear that DUKH HARAN Baba is none other than the Buddha. Problem is Buddhists are searching only for the Buddha. In the real Vaishali the Buddha begged for alms. The locals there pray to 'BHIKHAINI' Baba (Beggar Baba). Bhikhaini was mispronounced by Buddhists as Bhikshu. Who is BHIKHAINI Baba. The Buddha no doubt. But people are searching for a man called Buddha. In the real Vaishali, in Beluha the Buddha suffered a sickness and felt he had grown old. The locals pray to 'BURHA' Baba (Old Baba). Who is BURHA Baba. The Buddha no doubt. In the real Vaishali the Lichavies pressurized Buddha not to die. They trailed him to Bandagawan pressurizing him not to die. To put pressure in Hindi is DABESHWAR. Three dozen villages around the stupa where Buddha gave the Lichavies his patra, the villagers pray to Baba 'DABESHWAR NATH' meaning the man who won the pressurizing game. It was the the Buddha no doubt as he gave the Lichavies his patra and succeded in sending them back. But Buddhists are searching for the Buddha. Forgive me for commenting out of the topic. I just wanted to impart this information to you.

    "Oh how short.. my unfinished mind can be."
    "Arrogance serves no one. Humility serves all."
    "To walk into my own rocky shoals, is to trace, and unlace, the soles of another."
    "Cry not, woe is me. Ask, why is he? Why is she? Pain, collectively, is a cry for understanding, towards healing."
    "For those who (seemingly) harm me, I assuage my judgement. For I too have harmed myself, unintentionally, and intentionally. Search your sufferings, and find liberation."
    "Within yourself, leave no stone unturned. Having done so, you will not stone another."
    "As within, so without: self-care = other-care; self-understanding = other-understandng; self-growth = outer-growth; self-harmony = outer-harmony. Divine & boundless is the journey of the self. In deed, and indeed, self-care is a gift, unwrapped & boundless."
    "Our planet, our society, does not need more takers. We desperately need more caretakers. Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are the caretakers for they will create heaven on earth."
    "Oh how breathtaking.. our unfinished journey... can be."

    Read Tolhart's book, didn't like it. Couldn't even finish one of TNH's [clever abbreviation] books, boring. i catch both of these guys on TH-cam, and am instantly transformed . I'm making some kind of comment on media relevancy in these modern times. In the past books had this dramatic quality. I am only 2 months old on TH-cam, and am enthralled at it's rapid effectiveness. There are a few missing dots to connect before having a clue what these guys are talking about, and frankly find their method of communication needs help from us lower echelons.
    I am attempting to construct [ for myself] some of these dots. Greg Osborn www.jumptime.gallery
